The Rig Season 1 Trailer Breakdown

The 2 minutes 13, seconds trailer of the show gives us a lot of insight into what the show will be about. It starts by displaying an enormous oil rig in the waters of the North Sea. There is also a crew of workers busy at their jobs and officials at the senior level looking over it.

As the crew leader held a meeting and motivated everyone to work, they witnessed a power outage. The team of individuals in the technical department try to figure out the issue of the electrical failure. But they experience extreme seismic movement and discover a huge storm coming towards them. Everyone is shocked and scared as they have never seen anything like it.

A fog-like substance surrounds the entire rig. Radio, phones and any communication are cut off and left stranded in the sea. Agitation from the workers starts to rise as they do not understand the situation and demand answers from the higher-ups. The leader fears that the group will become divided, which will cause further problems.

The fog that had surrounded the rid also started to enter inside it. The workers face psychological difficulty upon coming in contact with the substance, which creates havoc. The workers, including the leader, seem affected by it, and everyone is seen to be having a breakdown.

Eventually, disagreements arise between the workers and the officials. They start fighting and arguing as they try to find a solution to the dangerous situation. Everyone becomes reckless and starts acting rashly, which leads to more chaos.

In the background of the entire scenario, a strange unknown force is looming around. Some are met with it, facing imminent death, and some are seen running away. The leader is trying to help everyone survive and reach home safely.
