The Real Has Come Stills: Baek Jin-hee Goes Through Some Serious Whiplash in the Kdrama

A new KDrama is coming soon to your nearest screens and The Real Has Come stills are giving just a little tease for what the series might entail for audiences. This drama will star Baek Jin-hee and Ahn Jae-hyun as the lead characters while Cha Joo-young, Jung Eui-jae, Kang Boo-ja, Hong Yo-sub, Cha Hwa-yun, Kim Hye-ok, Kim Chang-wan, Ryu Jin, Choi Dae-chul, Yoon Joo-hee, Kim Sa-kwon, Choi Ja-hye, Lee Jan-hee, Choi Yoo-je, Lee Ye-hyun and Jung Seo-yeon star as supporting characters.

The Real Has Come is directed by Han Joon-seo and written by screenwriter, Jo Jung-joo. There are currently 50 episodes planned for this season and will air every weekend for six months. This show is about a talented language instructor who has decided to get into a fake relationship with a talented obstetrician and gynaecologist who has no plans of getting married at all. While this relationship was completely her idea, it doesn’t stop him from agreeing to it.

This comes after the main female protagonist finds her boyfriend cheating on her with another woman. Additionally, a surprising and messy pregnancy leads her to question everything in her life including the dream that she has worked so hard for. After multiple problems between her and the father of the baby, she decides to take the narrative into her hands and announce that the OBGYN is actually the father of her baby.

While this does sour the relationship between the male protagonist who is the OBGYN and his mother, it is perhaps one of the most interesting things about the show. These new stills show the main female protagonist going through an intense range of emotions from one picture to another. In the first picture, we see her looking excited to try on a ring, perhaps an agreement has been reached and the male protagonist is ready to carry this fake relationship to the finish line.

The Real Has Come Stills: 1
A still from the teaser

In the second one, she is seen looking inquisitively at something extremely interesting happening to the side of the screen, perhaps she is speaking to someone important that may provide some clues for future episodes. While the third still shows the protagonist taking a lesson circling some words written in chalk and standing in front of the blackboard looking a little determined towards the side as if taking in something important happening right next to her.

The final still shows her standing in a snowfall looking at the ground as if she has lost everything. Considering the description of the show, it is entirely possible that this still is from the time after she finds out about her husband’s infidelity. This drama definitely promises some intense emotional sequences that talk about relationships, their dynamics and their tenacities when it comes to being an adult.

In this show, we see the female protagonist be extremely strong and determined in her own right making decisions that are strictly good for her. Using her position as a woman, she decides to the power of femininity to get what she wants even when the cards are stacked against her. Lucky for her, she might find some real connection at the end of this.

The Real Has Come will be broadcasting every weekend from March 25, 2023, at 8:05 PM KST on KBS. It will also be available to stream on Viki. What are you most excited to see in the show? Let us know in the comments below.
