The Queens Umbrella Teaser: Kim Hye-soo Brings Out a New Royal Image With Her Frustrating Sons

tvN has released the teaser of its upcoming historical drama The Queens Umbrella which brings just enough comedy and drama to get us excited for what is to come. Directed by Kim Hyung-shik, the drama stars Kim Hye-soo, Kim Hae-sook, Choi Won-young, Kim Eui-sung, Moon Sang-min, and Chani, alongside other cast members. 

The story of this upcoming Kdrama revolves around queen Im Hwa-ryeong who is hell-bent on making fine princes out of the troublesome boys who love pushing her and other palace ladies to the brink of frustration. As she puts aside the elegance of a fine queen, she is ready to bring these sons and change them into better men for the future of the country.

In the teaser shared, we see the frustrated queen who is giving her all into her sons’ education, only to find them being as uncooperative as ever. The ladies of the palace then adopt a new face-washing technique that is believed to improve one’s memory for the young princes, having them dip their faces in these big bowls of water.

But even after all the efforts she continuously puts into these boys, they maintain their personalities and throw water on all her hard work. However, despite all of their rebellion, she continues to work hard on them and uses all sorts of medicines to keep herself awake all night in order to help her sons.

This drama is definitely one to look forward to because these characters will definitely make us laugh with their actions in a very politically tense historical period. The talented cast is set to show a new side of themselves that will bring a variety of genres to the upcoming show.

The Queen’s Umbrella is set to release on October 15 at 9:10 PM KST on tvN and will be available for streaming on Netflix.
