The Queen Who Crowns Episode 12 Reactions: Fans Praise Queen Won Gyeong and Cry Over Injustice Done to Her

The Queen Who Crowns episode 12 reactions are out and the finale has made the show well worth the watch for fans around the world. While the show remains intense until the final moments, fans cannot stop praising the wonderful queen who changed the world for the better. This also makes them cry over the injustice done to the queen whose name was forgotten in history, more like hidden by historians who didn’t want her name and her achievements to be known by the world.

The Queen Who Crowns (원경) follows a young woman who goes against all odds to make her husband the later king. However, when the King begins to take multiple concubines and create a tense atmosphere within the palace, it is time for her to fight once again for her survival. As palace politics begin playing around, a stunning plot unfolds for viewers. Directed by Kim Sang-ho, the drama stars Cha Joo-young, Lee Hyun-wook, Lee Yi-dam, Lee Shi-ah, Choi Deok-moon, Park Yong-u and other cast members.

Back to the finale, this episode has not only been filled with a thrilling intensity but also brings about the end of the Queen’s miseries. She not only remains to be the Kingmaker right until the end but also proves her worth to all (especially the King) who don’t believe in her loyalties. Cha Joo-young really steals the show with her wonderful portrayal of the forgotten queen who made sure to bring the people a capable ruler rather than the firstborn.

Meanwhile, the episode also tries to wash off the character of the King which has been known to leave the audience frustrated for most of the show. While it does work to some extent, it isn’t enough after all that the Queen and the audience have been through when witnessing his actions. Lee Hyun-wook’s performance really leaves the audience in awe as he not only angers them to the fullest but also has us appreciate his performance.

However, the highlight of the finale for the audience was the glimpse of King Sejong who changed the history of Goryeo forever. The finale focuses on the woman who put the great king on the throne served his people and developed Hangul, the phonetic system for writing the Korean language that is still in use. While she may have put one of the greatest Joseon kings on the throne, her name is not mentioned in history as shown in the final note left by the show.

This message not only brings about fury from the audience who have fallen in love with this wonderful queen, but they also cry over the injustice she has had to suffer. As fans of the show take up to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their views on the same, we see a lot of mixed reactions for the King, praise for the Queen, pride for the glimpse of King Sejong, and more after the finale. Alongside the reactions of the characters, the actors too are receiving praise for the wonderful weeks we’ve been given with this show.

As one fan writes on X, “Just finished watching the finale of #TheQueenWhoCrowns and I loved it! #ChaJooyoung set the bar high for future portrayals of Queen Wongyeong. I only wish there were more sources for deeper insights into her fascinating life. #TheQueenWhoCrownsEp12”

Meanwhile, fans are also hoping for a spin-off with Lee Jun-young as King Sejong as one X user writes, “Wish we got a two-episode spin-off for #SejongtheGreat! I was thrilled by #LeeJunyoung’s unexpected appearance as Sejong. His dance performance was a brilliant move. If you’ve followed him since debut, you know how good he is. #TheQueenWhoCrowns #TheQueenWhoCrownsEp12”

While it is sad to say goodbye to the show after today, we’ve also had a fulfilling journey with this wonderful queen. With this, let’s take a look at the reactions of fans on X!
