Netflix is on a spree to release a crime-related documentary every month. From The Puppet Master to The Tinder Swindler to Bad Vegan, we have seen some shocking real-life documentaries. The Photographer: Murder in Pinamar aka El fotógrafo y el cartero: El crimen de Cabezas will be another addition from this month. The Spanish documentary film will cover an important incident that shocked entire Argentina.

The documentary film has a maturity rating of 16+, with people under 16 need parental guidance. The streaming platform describes it as provocative and investigative. Directed by Alejandro Hartmann, the screenplay is penned by Tatiana Merenuk, Gabriel Bobillo, and Alejandro.

The Photographer: Murder in Pinamar is based on the kidnapping and brutal murder of Argentine photojournalist José Luis Cabezas in 1997.

The synopsis reads, “The crime of the photographer José Luis Cabezas, in the summer of 1997, shocks Argentina and ends up revealing a mafia network in which the political and economic powers do not seem to be unrelated. The consequences will be almost as dramatic as the crime itself, both for its instigator and for the entire country.”
