The Patient Episode 10 is now out and the season has finally wrapped up with a finale that is giving fans a rough time. Created by Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg for FX on Hulu, the executive producers for the series are Joel Fields, Joe Weisberg, Steve Carell, Caroline Moore, Victor Hsu and Chris Long. The production companies for the series include Joel Fields Productions, Flim Flam and FXP.
The cast for the series features Steve Carell as Alan Strauss, a therapist and Domhnall Gleeson as Sam Fortner, a serial killer and the new patient of our therapist in question. Actors Linda Emond plays Candace Fortner along with Laura Niemi as Beth Strauss, Andrew Leeds as Ezra Strauss and David Alan Grier as Charlie Addison. The show has had a total of ten episodes, each 20-30 minutes long. This article contains spoilers for the show and its latest episode.
The season finale for The Patient was shocking. Twitter is clearly taking it the rough way with a lot of people loving the final episode but, having a hard time swallowing Alan’s death. Whereas, other viewers are downright disappointed by how the show ended up being. The mixed bag of reactions on Twitter ranges from hilarious to distasteful, just the way it always is.

You ony ended the story that way for the shock effect
It would have been bettter to have Sam killing his own mother!.
Easy, lazy, predictable and boring ending. But thank God it ended. The entire series should been a 90 minute movie. Nothing happened throughout most of it and the gilded attempts at symbolism through Judaism and his talks with his psychiatric were nonsense. The type of things people think are creative but are intact cookie cutter fodder for our idiocracy
I think they ended it that way because they were lazy. That show crawled to an ending.
I completely agree. What a stupid ending! It reeks of lazy writing and the complete disrespect of the viewers that hung in there over the previous 9 episodes. So many of these episodes were long and boring, but many of the fans still cared to continue to watch. However, the finale showed all of us that stayed to the end that the producers, Steve Carell and anyone else associated with this that they did not care about their viewers. Shame, Shame, Shame!
