Wang wakes up with a start, tumbling out of bed, still feeling the effects of his drunken state from the previous night. As he stumbles out of his room, he is surprised to find Tian cheerfully wishing him a good morning, acting unusually friendly. The sudden change in demeanor catches Wang off guard, and he retreats back to his room, the memories of the previous night flooding back, making him feel awkward and unsure about how to face Tian. When they eventually leave for school, Tian playfully teases Wang about his drunken antics, turning the uncomfortable situation into a light-hearted exchange. Despite the initial awkwardness, their familiar banter quickly resumes, with the two bickering as they head to class.

At school, a group of students, including Wang and Tian, is forced to retake an unfinished test after an anonymous student, likely Qi, reported that many had copied during the previous exam. Wang, feeling guilty that Tian couldn’t complete his homework because he was busy taking care of him, keeps apologizing, but Tian, far from being angry, reassures him by playfully going along with it. Later, the two head out for lunch, but Tian suddenly leaves Wang at Uncle Xao’s shop.

Back at school, despite their good intentions, the principal punishes Wang, Tian, and Tianyang for fighting. However, their English teacher intervenes, vouching for the boys and requesting the principal to release them early so they can prepare for their upcoming competition. At home, Tian takes it upon himself to tutor Wang, helping him study day and night with the goal of getting Wang a rank within the top 50. As they spend more time together, their bond deepens, and they start to connect on a more personal level.
