Later, Allie confronts Margot about her plan to escape the island. She confesses and explains that she wants a better life for herself and her children. Allie points out the inaccuracies in her plan and asks her to think of a better one so she can make it out of there alive.

After taking Allie’s advice, Margot hatches another plan to assure her safe escape from the island. She asks her daughter Dina to distract the boy who works at the boat so she can use the phone. Dina successfully manages to take the boy away from the boat, and Margot rushes in to make an important call.

The Mosquito Coast Season 2 Episode 4 Review

This episode has to be one of the most uninteresting ones in the whole series. It was extremely slow-paced and dull. Rarely any development of the story or the characters was seen. The entirety of 40 minutes was dull and predictable.

This episode felt like a filler, dragging one single thought throughout. Unnecessary conversations among the characters added nothing further to the story and often felt repetitive. It wasn’t easy to sit through the entire episode.

The lead actors were seen to be comfortable in their characters and were committed to it throughout. They delivered what the script demanded. The rest of the supporting cast also did a good job.
