– The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 10 Recap Contains Mild Spoilers –

The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 10 begins with Tofu finding out about Tarn being the person Nut was close to back in high school. Meanwhile, at the teaser release, Prib looks at the footage and realises that Tarn’s story of his special person matches with Nut’s and, that Nut and Tarn might have had a history. Tofu continues to look for Tarn on Facebook and, understands from his captions that his pictures are trying to send messages to Nut possibly.

Na walks in on Tofu stalking Tarn’s Facebook and, says that she recognizes Tarn as the guy Nut was in love with. She asks Tofu to move on with Nut in the present as she knows they both love each other. However, Nut overhears the conversation and, misunderstands Na as if she is trying to drive Tofu and ends up shouting at her as he proclaims his love for Tofu. Ultimately, an angry Nut leaves the house and Tofu, behind and, later meets Gen, brings him to his senses saying he cannot mistreat Tofu in anger.

Nut has lunch with Gen’s family when Song comes in with Tofu. At the dinner table when Nut gets angry at Tofu, Gen’s parents chime in to make the lunch table a war-free zone. Post lunch, Nut rashly drives his car and takes Tofu to a park where he discloses how he grew apart from his mother with whom he was supposedly once close. Flashbacks reveal how Nut was humiliated by Sib for not being manly enough and, Na never protested. She denied Nut being queer and, never normalized his identity or tried to accept him.

With low self-esteem, the school was the place Nut could be himself. He recalled almost his entire school experience with Tofu that we had been seeing in flashbacks throughout the season. We understand how Nut was in love with Neung and, in turn, Tarn was in love with Nut. The segment is dedicated to Nut’s high school years and what led to what got him and Tarn ultimately close. The segment edges a little towards Tarn harassing Nut most of the time and, is a little uncomfortable to be called romantic.

Song and Gen spend some time together and, their relationship gets a serious turn when Song questions Gen about if Song’s age is a factor in them dating. This is followed by Tofu and Nut returning home where Nut tries to show off his intimacy with Tofu in front of Na, making Tofu uncomfortable. Tofu drags Nut and tries to show him the fault in his behaviour which is heard by their fellow neighbours. Later Tofu joins the neighbours to seek advice to bridge the communication gap between Nut and Na.

Final Thoughts: The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 10

Overall, The Miracle of Teddy Bear was detailed enough to give us the full Nut-Tarn story to help us understand Nut and, even, Tarn to an extent which in turn helps us understand Tofu, partly. At times, the love story between Tarn and Nut felt like harassment but with the progress of the episode, it got really genuine.

You can watch the episode on Netflix.
