The Midnight Club Teaser has been released by Netflix, which is set to be released on the streaming platform in October. Spooky season is here and the spooky content has started to drop on our screen, to accompany us this month. This series is from the creators of The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, created by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong, with Flanagan serving as showrunner and executive producer along with Trevor Macy.
Based on the 1994 novel of the same name as well as other works by Christopher Pike, the series is said to have 10 episodes in total, with the first two episodes of the series directed by Flanagan, and other episodes in the season were helmed by directors Axelle Carolyn, Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour, Michael Fimognari, Morgan Beggs, and Viet Nguyen.
The official synopsis of the series reads, “Inside a hospice for terminally ill teens, members of an exclusive club make a chilling pact: The first to die must send a sign from beyond the grave.” At a hospice for terminally ill young adults, eight patients come together every night at midnight to tell each other stories and to look for signs of the supernatural from the beyond. They also make a pact that the next of them to die will give the group a sign from the beyond.

The series cast members include Iman Benson, Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard, William Chris Sumpter, and Sauriyan Sapkota as the titular patients. Heather Langenkamp, as the enigmatic doctor who runs the hospice for young adults, Zach Gilford, Matt Biedel, and Samantha Sloyan have recurring roles.
The teaser starts off with a narration that says, Here at Brightcliffe Hospice, we are the authors of our own stories. Brightcliffe offers a safe and warm atmosphere for our patients to enjoy their final chapter, together. As the visuals show us a girl coming to the hospital and glimpses of other patients there.
But it looks like there’s more to the mysterious hospital than just hospice care as the dark shadows and spooky figures are shown on the screen. Looks like we might get more than a sign from the beyond.
