The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies Episode 6 Recap

The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies Episode 7 Review She Confessed!

In this episode, we are introduced to a new character stepping in as the magical girl, replacing Mimori. Unlike the timid and gentle Mimori, Hibana is a stark contrast. Her differences aren’t just physical but also deeply rooted in her behaviour. One of her most notable traits is her frequent use of the word “fuck,” often accompanied by a string of other profanities. Hibana is perpetually angry and lacks the traditional demeanour of a magical girl.

But she’s not inherently bad—she’s just an intense tsundere who struggles to express her emotions. When she’s embarrassed or unsure of herself, she resorts to cussing and even physically lashing out at her mentor, Mr. Bird. Fortunately, Mr. Bird is far more patient and understanding than Mimori’s cat mentor ever was. He’s always cautious and protective of Hibana, looking out for her well-being.

Despite her tough exterior, Hibana is deeply committed to her role as a magical girl, driven by a sense of duty. Through her actions, we catch glimpses of the kindness hidden beneath her rough language and outbursts. However, during an encounter with her enemies, she comes face to face with Mira, who shows no mercy. Unlike his restraint with Mimori, Mira doesn’t hesitate to defeat Hibana with a single strike. Even so, his thoughts drift back to Mimori, worried about how she might react to him harming her teammate.

In this episode, we get to see a connection between Mimori and Hibana. Hibana used to be school friends with Mimori, and they had some interesting moments together. For Hibana, Mimori was a close friend, but for Mimori, Hibana was the devil herself who would constantly curse and manhandle her. But it was all on a very playful level.

Hibana comes to greet Mimori when she is with Mira and even makes Mira suspect about the nature of their friendship in a very comical manner. But at that very moment, Mr Bird arrives and blames Mimori for having a love affair with a villain. Not only that, but he also dismisses her and kind of fires her from her duties. But what comes as most shocking for both Mimori and Mira is the open revelation of Mimori’s feelings, which they both never really thought about. Mimori’s devotion towards the enemy general seems romantic to others, and our couple finally realise that themselves.

Mira immediately shortcircuits, and Mimori becomes flushed. But that is when Hibana speaks up, and for once, she says something other than ‘fuck’. She conveys how it is unfair to kick Mimori out on the grounds of her love when their duty should be to protect love. This actually works, and Mr Bird decides not to be against Mimori’s relationship.

In this episode, one shocking thing happened. We got to see the human faces of these weird creatures that support the magical girls. And they both were breathtakingly handsome. It does make you wonder why on earth would they be in their cat and bird forms.
