The Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power Episode 8 marks the finale for this season and has been a grand one. Based on The Lord of the Rings and its appendices by J. R. R. Being dubbed as the most expensive tv series ever made, The Rings of Power has featured the story of the Second Age so far and in the last episode, we actually saw what and how Mordor came into existence. The musical theme score is by Howard Shore, who has worked on the films that came before the series and Bear McCreary serves as the overall composer for the series.

The Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power Episode 8: Alloyed

For the past few episodes of The Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power, The mysterious giant stranger has been playing a quintessential role in aligning the three storylines while also keeping us asking questions, out of which only a few are answered in the finale. The eighth episode finally reveals the identities of the cult witches who have been tracking The Stranger for some time now. The question of who The Stranger is is also unveiled and it is a shocking one at first but, accepting enough later on.

Meanwhile, we also see Nori get attacked and a death that came in too sharply for one of the Harfoots. But, all the chaos surrounding the Harfoots gives The Stranger his ability to fully understand his potential and who he is, enough to set him free.

Another segment of The Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power Episode 8 is dedicated to the revelation of Halbrand’s true identity after Galadriel confronts him headfirst after she reunites with Elrond for a bit. Halbrand turns out to be more of a foe than a friend, which is the underlying tone his character has been giving off from the very start, in all honesty. And ultimately, to mark the grand finale of the season the three rings- fire, air and adamant are created.

The Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power Episode 8: Final Thoughts

So, where does the show stand, right now? Well, the common chant should be that a second season is something everyone is collectively hungry for. The finale revealed some truths to us and introduced all the characters in full flesh and that is exactly why the show feels like it got interesting right around when it was prepared to bid us farewell. The episode is well executed and focuses much more on the characters and the grandiosity of things, giving the show the ultimate edge to bank on.

While keeping the mysticism alive, the show has brilliantly landed its finale for the fans to be grateful for and wanting for more. Hopefully, there is some announcement awaiting us that will fortify our journey deeper into the creation of Mordor next.
