The Kidnapping Day Overview

The Kidnapping Day (유괴의 날) is a comedy thriller Kdrama directed by Park Yoo-young and based on the novel of the same Korean name “Yugwaei Nal” by writer Jung Hae-yeon. The drama stars Yoon Kye-sang, Park Sung-hoon, Yu Na, Kim Shin-rok, Kim Sang-ho, and Seo Je-hee alongside other cast members.

The drama tells the story of a helpless father who accepts the idea of kidnapping a rich kid goes wrong when he finds out that the little one’s parents are dead. The little girl has already lost her memory due to an accident prior to her kidnapping and the man claims to be her father. However, the little girl soon uncovers his web of lies while he tries to investigate what really happened.

The Day takes over the ENA’s Wednesday and Thursday 21:00 time slot previously occupied by Longing for You.

The Kidnapping Day Plot

The synopsis of the Kdrama reads: “A father turned clumsy kidnapper and a genius child working together to uncover the truth behind a series of murders and mysteries.”

The Kidnapping Day Cast

The Kdrama is directed by Park Yoo-young and stars Yoon Kye-sang, Park Sung-hoon, Yu Na, Kim Shin-rok, Kim Sang-ho, and Seo Je-hee alongside other cast members.

The drama brings Yoon Kye-sang from Kiss Sixth Sense, Park Sung-hoon from The Glory, Kim Shin-rok from Reborn Rich together with the newcomer Yu Na.

The series is set to have a 12-episode runtime and will release two episodes every week (Wednesday-Thursday).

The tvN series is set to stream internationally on Prime Video.

The series will stream from September 13, 2023, to October 19, 2023. Episode 1 of the ENA series will be available for streaming on September 13 at 9:00 PM KST (6 PM IST).

The Kidnapping Day Episode 1 Prediction

The helpless father, Kim Myung-joon desperately needs money for his daughter’s surgery and with no option left, he finally decides to listen to his ex-wife and go down the kidnapping path. However, life is ready with unexpected twists for him as his target shows up at his door but with her memories lost.

To add to his troubles, the girl he kidnapped Choi Ro-hee is not easy to handle and they soon form a comic duo. However, it doesn’t take long for this comic duo to face the seriousness of this situation as the truth is revealed and bigger dangers need to be faced.

How will the two solve the mysteries surrounding them? Will their bond be able to survive the upcoming challenges or break as soon as it is formed?
