The Interest of Love episode 11 starts with Su-yeong feeling some type of way after that very passionate kiss at the skating rink. She wonders whether it all began because of her – whether she made everything too obvious for Sang-su. Either way, whoever made this happen, both were pretty into the kiss.

Afterwards, Su-yeong rushes out of the rink, and when Sang-su stops her, she gives him a chance to forget that this happened and act like everything is normal between them. However, he refuses to do so and tells her that it wasn’t a mistake for him and, thus, he doesn’t regret it.

He further confesses his feelings for her and tells her that he knows how their situation is complicated, but he doesn’t care about any of that anymore.

Meanwhile, Mi-gyeong gets a reality check when her father lets her know that whatever she has achieved till now, including her promotion, is because of her father. He influenced every decision that she thought she had achieved on her own. A heartbroken Mi-gyeong tries to get in touch with Sang-su, but in vain.

As Sang-su drops Su-yeong off at home, she proposes they go for a drink together. He accepts but the vibe at the restaurant is rather uncomfortable at first. Su-yeong proposes they play a lying game together – that everything that he says has to be a lie. It’s a way for them to get to know each other in a roundabout way which turns out to be a rather fun exercise.

Eventually, Su-yeong confesses that she likes him and that she might have liked him from the first minute. She continues to say that spending time with him puts her at ease and that she wants to hold hands with him. As she puts the game to an end, an emotional Sang-su looks at her with regret and pain.

In the meantime, Mi-gyeong goes to Sang-su’s place and realises that she is not ok with him not being in a relationship with her 100%. She keeps calling Sang-su, who ignores her calls and eventually turns his phone off. As they are about to go home, Sang-su holds Su-yeong’s hand in the car, making the air tense and heavy.

At home, Su-yeong has to face reality when Jong-hyeon greets her with dinner and thanks her for paying for his father’s surgery. Su-yeong seems happy but is clearly extremely guilty, and when Jong-hyeon apologises to her after asking to stay at her place for some more time, she apologises as well, just because.

Later, as both Sang-su and Su-yeong think about their evenings, Sang-su thanks Su-yeong with a text for the ‘lies’ that she told him that day.

The next morning at work, no one among the three can meet each other’s eyes. At the meeting, Shi-kyung asks for two volunteers to work at a subbranch of the bank for three months, Su-yeong volunteers. Sang-su is just about to put his hand up when Gyeong-pil beats him to the chase seeing him almost about to volunteer. Mi-gyeong also notices this.

Sang-su pulls Su-yeong aside to ask her whether she took up the job because of him, and she explains that there was no one else but her who could take this up. Before they can finish their conversation, however, Eun-jung and Du-sik barge into the back room and they are left to listen in on the conversation while hiding awkwardly.

Later, when Jung-im visits the bank for a loan, she notices Sang-su staring at Su-yeong and realises that her son might just have feelings for someone else. She almost mentions it to him but stops herself eventually. After she leaves, Mi-gyeong rushes out to meet Jung-im and then hugs Sang-su out of the blue. Confused, he asks her to meet him after work. Mi-gyeong, realising what might be in store, simply tells him to tell her whatever it is then and there. Sang-su, however, refuses to do so.

At lunch, the women ask Su-yeong why she volunteered at the subbranch. She tells everyone that she simply wants a change of scenery, but as it turns out, no one really buys the explanation. Either way, she eventually lets Jong-hyeon know about it as well, who clearly feels a bit heartbroken for not being consulted about the decision.

Later on, Su-yeong catches Jong-hyeon being a bit too happy while texting someone other than her and eventually meets Seon-jae, realising that something more is happening here. On the other hand, Mi-gyeong realises that her mother’s friend has increased the rent of her buildings, which is the reason why Jung-im had come to the bank for loans.

As Seok-hyeon becomes the topic of saucy gossip in the bank, Gyeong-pil and Su-yeong get ready to leave for the subbranch. Sang-su looks heartbroken at her eventual departure. At lunch, Sang-su goes to meet Su-yeong instead of his girlfriend, who is late to work.

He finds her sitting on the university bench in the middle of beautiful fall leaves surrounding them both. They stroll the gardens, which isn’t for too long, as they then both have to go back for lunch. Meanwhile, rushing into work, Mi-gyeong realises that Sang-su met someone other than her after he was specifically asked to get her.

That evening, Sang-su tries to talk to Mi-gyeong again, but she refuses to have a heavy discussion at that moment. On the other hand, Su-yeong goes to have a drink with other bank employees, who make extremely terrible remarks about her character in the garb of jokes. Su-yeong gives them a piece of her mind, but when he gets nastier, Gyeong-pil steps in to stop the madness.

Meanwhile, Sang-su finds Mi-gyeong at her mother’s workplace, wherein Mi-gyeong previously apologised to Jung-im for overstepping about the increased rent. Realising that she can’t win Sang-su over in any way, a heartbroken Mi-gyeong runs off and asks Sang-su, who is about to follow her, to stay with his mother.

Meeting up with Gyeong-pil later, he tells Sang-su to stop dating two people simultaneously because it can end up being as horrible as Seok-hyeon’s situation. Gyeong-pil asks him whether he will break up with Mi-gyeong and when Sang-su refuses to answer, he eventually asks him to make the best decision not to hurt anyone.

Sang-su eventually strongly asks Mi-gyeong to meet to talk, and she agrees to do so the next day after work.

The Interest of Love Episode 11 Ending

The next night, Sang-su prepares for the fated conversation, which ends up being a party for Mi-gyeong’s birthday with Su-yeong and Jong-hyeon. The conversation is extremely awkward as Mi-gyeong makes snide comments about Su-yeong and Sang-su. Having had enough, Sang-su asks her out of the situation to talk.

Mi-gyeong refuses to give in, however, and after screaming that it’s her birthday and that she knows where his true feelings lie. In spite of all of her logic, though, Sang-su eventually breaks up with her. On the other hand, Jong-hyeon asks Su-yeong whether she really likes him.

What an intense episode this has been – it’s absolutely thrilling watching a love story fall apart among four people. With Su-yeong and Sang-su making a grave decision in the last episode, they have opened Pandora’s box before saving those around them.

Caught in the crossfires, it will be difficult to sort out this mess, especially with Jong-hyeon, whom Su-yeong had brought back after he had broken up and left once before. Should’ve probably left it like that, but alas, here we are. Also, what is going on with Jong-hyeon? Is he really cheating? Or is it just Su-yeong projecting? I think Jong-hyeon was talking to a family member or something, I doubt that he, of all people, would be cheating on Su-yeong.

Either way, I can’t wait to see what the next episode brings since Su-yeong apparently goes to a hotel with someone… is it Sang-su? Are the moments from the trailer finally coming to fruition? We’ll know that tomorrow. Let’s just hope everyone breaks up with their significant others before making things more physical or emotional. It’s a bit icky already as it is.
