The previous episode showed Kang In-ah (Lee Jun-young) slowly taking the reigns of Kangoh as he and Tae-oh (Lee Jae-wook) get promoted. They have found themselves at loggerheads at every point, ever since the Chairman allowed In-ah to negotiate the deal for one of their companies.
The negotiations went on with Ko Hui-chan, who didn’t want the company but because of his father, he had no choice. While the initial round of negotiations left Ko Hui-chan with a great deal, In-ah revealed to Tae-oh his secret weapon- manipulating them into giving in by using IM’s report. While Tae-oh was against it, In-ah still went ahead with it. Eventually, he won his deal but his father, the Chairman, was disappointed in his ways and he took out his anger on Tae-oh.
The episode ended with him on the floor, trying to pick up Na Hye-won’s (Hong Su-zu) call while reminiscing about their college days and saying that he missed her a lot. He was left on the floor while the perpetrator had taken his wallet and ran away- trying to make it seem like a robbery.
Actor Lee Jae-wook was last seen in Death’s Game and Alchemy of Souls. Lee Jun-young was last seen in the highly-popular Mask Girl as well as in D.P. and Let Me Be Your Knight. Lastly, Hong Su-zu’s last roles were in Sweet Home 2 and Lovestruck in the City.
The Impossible Heir Episode 6 Recap

The episode continues with Han Tae-oh’s attack scene. The scene moves to Hye-won looking for Tae-oh at the hospital. They share a soft scene when Tae-oh held on to Hye-won before he passes out. In the next scene, In-ah is seen spending time with his father when he gets the call from Hye-won about Tae-oh.
In-ah and the Chairman decide not to investigate the accident because it may put their name in the media. Kang Hui-ju also ends up at the hospital to see Tae-oh, where she finds Tae-oh and Hye-won holding hands. Hui-ju says some choice words to Hye-won and walks out of there. When Tae-oh comes to, he finds out that nobody is going to investigate his attack and decides to do it on his own.
Hye-won finds out that In-ah was the one who stopped the investigation and she confronts him. He is upfront about his decision and she tries to reason with him. But he also says that Tae-oh is different from Kangoh so he doesn’t need that much attention. Hearing that, she walks away and soon comes across her mother. We get to see her relationship with her mother and the kind of person she is.
Later on, with the Chairman’s permission and the hacker’s help, Tae-oh finds out that Kang In-ju’s assistant is the one who attacked him, most likely on In-ju’s behalf. He goes to confront him but it is of no use because the assistant doesn’t budge.

Tae-oh goes on to meet Hye-won and he confesses his feelings for her. She tries to stop him from saying anything but he continues on and in a moment of despair, they kiss. In-ju’s assistant takes their pictures from hiding while Tae-oh receives some risky investment news about In-ju from his own sources.
The scene cuts to In-ah and Hye-won’s wedding. While Tae-oh stands in the background, the newly wedded couple goes around to thank everybody. Afterwards, when Hye-won leaves the hall to go to her room, In-ju comes in front of her. He throws incriminating photos of her and Tae-oh’s kiss in front of her, leaving her stunned.
The episode ends with a shocking twist. Tae-oh wakes up in a hotel room the next day but he doesn’t realise that he is covered in blood and has an ice pick in his hand. Shocked at his state, he turns around and finds Kang In-ju and his wife dead next to him with the ice pick marks on them. He is shell-shocked at the situation in front of him.
The Impossible Heir Episode 6 Review

What. An. Ending! Episode 6 was more shocking than any of the other episodes as we got continuous twists and turns from the Kangoh family. From In-ah showing his true colours as an heir to Tae-oh and Hye-won giving in to their desires- there was a lot to process.
But, as viewers, we didn’t get any time as the ending scene had us just as gob-smacked as Han Tae-oh. How will he get out of this situation? Did he do it or was he framed like his father? Did it involve the Chairman and In-ah?
The Impossible Heir is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
