The trailer for the true crime doc makes a thorough study of the so-called internet hero and reveals that Kai was involved in first-degree murder, for which he was later convicted to 57 years in prison. Furthermore, the entire transition is chilling and feels unexpected and shocking.

Notably, the official clip also does a great job of preventing information overload and keeps it confined to known facts. It doesn’t showcase the exact nature of the conviction and drapes the hidden secret with the suspenseful cliffhanger. Plus, the short clip also commentates on internet ignorance, which leads to hero worship of unknown individuals, even without a hint of context.
