The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody, or Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou Murabito A ni Tensei suru in Japanese is an action and fantasy anime belonging to the overpowered demon king trying to fulfill his goal after being reincarnated as a human. It is based on a light novel written by Myoujin Katou and illustrated by Sao Mizunou. This episode of the show is also referred to as Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou Murabito A ni Tensei suru Episode 6.
The anime adaptation is developed by Studio Silver Link, an outfit that has produced many other anime such as The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated, Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World, and The Misfit of Demon King Academy. The show is directed by Mirai Minato, the director behind several shows like Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out My Defense, Circlet Princess, and Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World.

The previous episode of The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody revealed a powerful enemy. The Frenzied King Of Dragons, Elzard, tried to kidnap and harm Ireena in a plan which reeked of haphazardness and heedlessness. After elaborately disguising as a professor and kidnapping in the middle of a tournament where powerful sorcerers gathered, Elzard was destined to fail. We even got to see Ard’s power-up form and a sentiment weapon he refers to as Lydia!

The plot seemed to have wrapped up the fight party, and now in The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody Episode 6, it is focusing on school activities such as the school festival. We are met with a new character, Sylphy. She had gone to a cave alone for training for 3 years. But turns out that time flows differently from the earth’s and now, and it has already been 3000 years. She seemed to be part of Demon Lord Varvatos’s gang all those years back, especially close to Lydia.
At the very beginning of Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou Murabito A ni Tensei suru Episode 6, Sylphy is met with a masked man whose intentions do not seem favourable for Ard. Sylphy is in the academy, although we receive no context as to how she reaches or takes admission in the academy. Although her character is loud, aggressive, yet dumb, she knows how to push Ard’s buttons. And Ard is falling for it!
Unlike Ard, some characters seem to progress with their original goal in Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou Murabito A ni Tensei suru. Ginny is hell-bent on creating Ard’s harem. Ireena is still playing Ard’s best friend role, but many revelations have been made about her. It will be interesting to see how Ireena’s character progresses in the future, as she surely seems to be hiding something. Olivia is working to de-mask Ard’s true identity.

Despite this, The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody is an example of a very generic anime with an almost negligible plot. Regardless of being granted great ranks, Ard’s friends still get bullied in schools. The plot where Ard was being tried to be made as an instructor is also suddenly missing. Sylphy seemed to make grand statements in front of the entire class, but almost no one even bats an eye.
Prognosis
The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody Episode 6 was a lighter episode as compared to its predecessors. With Sylphy being introduced, the comedic elements were elevated. She seems to be holding answers to questions we have about Ard’s past, and we cannot wait for them to be answered!
