The Golden Spoon Episode 8 Recap

The Golden Spoon episode 8 has Seung-cheon being kidnapped and brought to the Amikus society which is filled with rich kids who are involved in protecting cultural assets and doing other volunteering work. However, he is soon drugged by Jun-tae and reveals that he is Lee Seung-cheon, while Yeo-jin and Seung-cheon find out that Tae-yong may be involved in President Na’s murder.

Yeo-jin informs Hyun-do of the happenings of the party which angers him into thrashing Jun-tae while Seung-cheon goes to check if Tae-yong is actually capable of committing murder. However, he soon finds that he was worried for nothing and when Yeo-jin tries to discuss Jun-tae’s words with him, he tells her that it is not possible.

Later, Seung-cheon opposes Jun-tae’s ideas during a meeting after which he gets a call from Yeo-jin who informs him that Ju-hee is going to meet her ex-maid who saw Tae-yong meet President Na. He rushes there but witnesses the maid getting into an accident while Ju-hee only catches his back view.

Ju-hee and Seung-cheon soon notice that the suitcase carrying all her money is missing due to Tae-yong which leaves the two disheartened. He then sees his parents going through a hard time because Lee Chul will not be able to draw anymore, which makes Tae-yong wish that he was “Hwang Tae-yong”.

On the other hand, Jun-tae reveals the DNA test that matches the blood on Tae-yong’s clothes with that of President Na which can make him the main culprit of the murder. He puts forth an exchange in front of Hyun-do and asks him to give him all of Tae-yong’s properties and shares and also send Tae-yong to the USA.

Later, Seung-cheon rushes to meet Hyun-do but is stopped by Jun-tae who thrashes him as Hyun-do did to him. During this, scenes of Jun-tae being the main culprit behind the massacre in the States are revealed. The next day, Seung-cheon tries to change Hyun-do’s decision but it is to no avail and goes to pack his luggage until he finds out that Jun-tae attended the same school as Tae-yong in the States.

He then gets ready to leave and sends his goodbyes to Ju-hee, however, she rushes to see him off until she notices that he looks like the person at her maid’s accident scene. She soon connects the dots and finds out that he is the culprit behind her father’s death.

Seung-cheon leaves without looking back and ten years pass by till just one month is left before the spoon’s deadline. Tae-yong finds a homeless looking Seung-cheon sprawled on a bench of a sidewalk and wakes him up.
