The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 8: Backwards and Forwards
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 8 shows us a shocked and blood sprinkled Cassie dealing with the trauma of Grace’s death. Her subconscious is of no help as it keeps pushing her with suicidal tendencies. On the other hand, we see Megan successfully board the flight after leaving the injured North Korean in the parking lot.
Cassie’s troubles don’t seem to end as Dot informs her about Grace working with another person and, again is a Cassie-impersonator. But, before Dot can take away Cassie, possibly for some protection, Cassie asks for some time to wrap certain things up. She makes Shane meet Megan, looking for a witness protection programme for herself and her family, in exchange for classified, high-profile information on the North Korean government. Before Cassie heads out with Dot, she gets a call from Rick about Davey being weird over texts.
After heading out of the hospital, Cassie insists on going home to get a shower but, Dot offers to take her to her apartment. In Dot’s apartment, Cassie finds a picture of army uniform-clad Dot and a bottle of Santal 33 and, it all clicks that Dot is the other impersonator. She calls Annie and Max and, asks the latter to trigger an alarm so she can run out. But before that Dot catches her.

Cassie spills the beans on Dot’s insistence that she has cracked the mystery. Dot got Grace out of the army and so she felt indebted to do as per Dot’s wishes, so Dot made Cassie her easy target to kill people and nail it down on her. Cassie’s subconscious tries to take over her suicidal tendencies, but she pushes it off and escapes Dot. That is exactly when officers barge into Dot’s apartment and arrest her. Later we find out that Benjamin had sent those officers as he had figured out Dot had been selling CIA files from the backend for years. Benjamin and Cassie reconcile their friendship.
But another trouble finds Cassie’s feet in The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 8 when Jenny picks up Davey’s phone and informs Cassie to come over to her house as Davey has been acting a little maniac. However, in Jenny’s house, we find out that Jenny is in love with Feliks (the sociopath boyfriend Cassie had from The Flight Attendant Season 1), who has manipulated her into stalking and, now killing Cassie.
Cassie pulls herself together to escape the house as Jenny chases her with a hammer. In her subconscious she finally lets all of her different versions go and accepts herself as one. Davey is awake by then and is able to Jenny hit and Cassie further hits her to unconsciousness.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 finale tires to give us a sweet landing. We see Megan and her family get together with new identities and home under witness protection. Davey and Nick are together again we see. And, as for Cassie, she takes the first step to reconciling her broken relationship with her mother. We see Max and Annie finally getting married! We also get to know that the two are going to start their very own PI firm, which is just perfect. The episode ends with Cassie enjoying her solace at Max and Annie’s wedding.
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Finale: Final Verdict
The Flight Attendant Season 2 finale lands the season on a good platform. This season wasn’t as engaging as the previous one but, there were sure certain elements that were interesting and triggering. Kaley Cuoco’s acting for one was brilliant and really holds you throughout the show. Annie and Cassie’s friendship is one of the best things ever on The Flight Attendant and, it will stay that way forever. As for Cassie’s scattered mental health, it was good to see her rid herself of all the demons she harbours in her head and, led a rather simple, sorted life.
