The Batman Universe Begins: Colin Farrell’s Penguin Series Makes Fans Happy

Fans are eagerly waiting for Robert Pattison’s The Batman. The film by Matt Reeves will feature Colin Farrell as Penguin. Due to the pandemic, the release is pushed ahead to 2022. But the excitement and buzz are quite high, and fans can’t wait to see the new version of the cape crusader.

Well, there’s another big news for all the fans. Recently, it was reported that HBO Max is planning a spin-off series on Farrell’s character Oswald Cobblepot. The series is in the initial stage, just like Gotham City Police. While Reeves is the executive producer along with Colin, Lauren LeFranc will write the script.

The spin-off series will focus on how Oswald became the Penguin, one of the biggest criminals in Gotham. Will the show feature other villains from the Batman world? There’s no news on the same yet. However, fans are quite excited as the Penguin spin-off series might give them The Batman universe they’ve always wanted.

On Twitter, many fans expressed their thoughts on the news. One fan wrote, “I’M SO EXCITED FOR “THE PENGUIN” Penguin #TheBatman”. Another tweeted, “oooo… #TheBatman spin offs series are coming to give us different pov of Gotham:

Meanwhile, The Batman film also stars Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Zoë Kravitz. The film is scheduled to release on March 4, 2022.
