The Adam Project: All You Need to Know About Netflix’s Upcoming Science Fiction Film

After hits like Red Notice and Don’t Look Up that flaunted an ensemble cast and gripping storyline, we have The Adam Project being Netflix’s next big release. The film is science fiction and, toggles with the concept of time travel, much like recent Netflix releases Looop Lapeta and Back to 15. In fact, Netflix actually acquired the rights for this film from Paramount Pictures back in 2020.

The film is directed by Shawn Levy, who we know for big hits like Night in the Museum franchise, Netflix’s Stanger Things, the 2021 film Free Guy and more. The screenplay is by Jonathan Tropper, T.S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds serve as the producers for the film with Tobias A. Schliessler as cinematographer. The Adam Project Cast

The ensemble cast features Ryan Reynolds as Adam Reed, Walker Scobell as young version Adam Reed, Mark Ruffalo as Louis Reed, Jennifer Garner as Ellie Reed, Catherine Keener as Maya Sorian, Zoe Saldaña as Laura and Alex Mallari Jr. as Christos.

The Adam Project Plot/Synopsis

Netflix’s description of the film reads: “After accidentally crash-landing in 2022, time-travelling fighter pilot Adam Reed teams up with his 12-year-old self on a mission to save the future”. The OTT giant further describes the show as witty, feel-good and exciting.

The Adam Project Release Date, Trailer and More

The film is scheduled to release on Netflix on March 11, 2022. It will have a runtime of 106 minutes. The production companies for the film are Skydance Media, 21 Laps Entertainment and Maximum Effort with music by Rob Simonsen. You can check out the trailer for the movie below!
