Tell Me Lies Episode 10: The Bedrooms of Our Friends

The big booming question of if all the questions we have from the show will be answered in this episode looms till the very end. But, before we jump on the mess wagon that was spilt throughout this episode, Tell Me Lies Episode 10 actually starts with a disclosure that puts Stephen in a dangerous place and the eye of the audience.

We get a recap of what happened to Macy and this time, it is the reality. Not only it turns out that Stephen has lied to Lucy but, his relation to Macy’s incident is way more than we could have imagined it to be. However, the happenings of the night, as we very well know, can never be truly decoded in front of the authorities as there are no witnesses. So yeah, Stephen is safe.

Coming back to the present, Tell Me Lies Finale just keeps making a mess out of every interpersonal relationship and maybe, somewhere that is what the show aims to show- the failing relationship cards. Stephen is still not in team Pippa which creates a rift between him and Lucy. Meeting Diana in the middle of all this, along with some new information and burns does not help Lucy and Stephen’s relationship.

Meanwhile, we have Pippa go full-blown psychotic at Stephen and Lucy almost tries to threaten him, receiving the taste of her own medicine ultimately. Finally, Evan is pulled into the Lucy-Stephen mess when the latter takes an impulsive and, apparently heartbreaking decision which leaves the former in pieces. At the end of the final episode, we return to the day of Bree and Evan’s wedding and get the most recent updates on our characters which might seem shocking but, is clearly not enough to stop us from asking so many more questions.

Tell Me Lies Episode 10: Final Thoughts

Is this it? Is this all we get? Well, the answer is not out there but, we hope not. Tell Me Lies soared up really high with its initial episodes. However, the last two to three episodes were a boring disaster. With the finale, though, the series seemed to have really redeemed itself but, it just feels like it is over too soon right now.

Tell Me Lies has done a brilliant commentary on changing relationships. The crux that most relationships are transactional in nature is reflected in almost every episode. In fact, the last segment of this episode which involves Evan helping Lucy console herself just goes on to show how transactional relationships actually have no boundaries and only exist to make one or both parties momentarily happy or content.

The toxic chemistry between Grace Van Patten and Jackson White is so disarming that it is an issue that most of the viewers have been rooting for to just see the pair share some screen time. The chemistry, be it the love or romance or the sheer negativity in the relationship, was all put across so excellently that the viewers would want to see this pair get together more often.
