Tastefully Yours Episode 5 Recap
Picking up right after the last episode, Chun-seung and Myeong-sook walk in on Yeon-joo and Beom-woo making out in front of the restaurant, and she promptly headbutts him, leaving him bleeding. The next morning, Yeon-joo finds herself daydreaming at the hotel and rushes out of the motel when Beom-woo comes out of his room. At the restaurant, everyone pulls her leg about the kiss, but she is far too serious to give in to their playfulness.
However, Beom-woo seems to be enjoying this attention a bit too much for Yeon-joo’s liking! Fed up, she tells everyone that it was a mistake and that they shouldn’t continue talking about it anymore. It leaves Beom-woo rather heartbroken. Just then, a French-Korean couple walks into the cafe, and Beom-woo immediately gets to work buttering them up, leaving the others surprised. After the couple leaves, Beom-woo starts to fill the others in on what was said, but Yeon-joo surprises everyone by telling them what the couple said, proving that she knows French as well.

While Yeon-joo refuses to take up the couple’s reservation, the others try to convince her, which she eventually does. That night, a very drunk Beom-woo professes his feelings to Yeon-joo once again in the most adorable way, leaving her amused. He proposes to take her out on a date after the upcoming event, much to her further amusement and surprise.
The next morning, Beom-woo brings uniforms for everyone and the room is filled with happiness as they take pictures together. Meanwhile, someone new is making their way to Korea and is sure to shake things up.
Back at Jeonju, as Beom-woo and Yeon-joo poke fun at one another in a sweet moment, out steps the business class flier in front of her restaurant. He follows her inside and asks her to talk, but she refuses. Myeong-sook and Chun-seung just stare with their mouth agape. Afterwards, Yeon-joo sobs in her little garden and thinking about her old job at Le Murir with this mysterious stranger with whom she possibly had a romantic relationship that went south. However, before they can have a conversation, customers walk in.

Beom-woo is surprised to find the man still in the alley that evening. He walks in again, and the atmosphere of the room gets heavy and awkward. Insisting on speaking to her, he apologises to her, much to everyone’s surprise. AS the two talk inside, the three others dive into Yeon-joo’s old photos with him, and Le Murir’s name leaves Beom-woo in awe. They also find her prestigious degree while inside, the man apologises to Yeon-joo, and she tells him that it was her choice to leave Le Murir.
As she gets up to leave, the man tells her that he missed her, giving everyone pause. Yeon-joo again thinks back to her days at Le Murir, and we see that she took the blame for his mistake and she resigned as a result.

Anyway, during their event, Beom-woo pacifies the two annoyed families and helps them have a fantastic time. But first, the Korean father throws a fit about the dishes being served, but the Jungjae team have something up their sleeve that wins him over in the end. After a job well done, Beom-woo asks Yeon-joo to go on a date, but the guy arrives out of the blue, and Yeon-joo asks everyone to leave. As he starts eating, we finally learn his name, Jeon Min, and she asks him never to come back again.
She meets Beom-woo afterwards for their date, clearly she didn’t forget and was just annoying him previously. He takes her to a romantic rooftop date, at the end of which she dozes off. And then the two go on a walk around Hanok Village, giggling together. She brings up Jeon Min’s topic, and he tells her that she can tell him when she feels like it. She tells him about her past and how she met Jeon Min and fell in love with cooking. He asks her why he is back, and she mentions that he wants her to go back to Le Murir. She adds that she’s not interested, especially when Jungjae is doing so well.

The next morning, the three of them find a surprising note in the kitchen – Yeon-joo wrote that she’s going to Sapporo for a while and to hold down the fort for some time. At the bus stop, Yeon-joo looks at her phone and sees a message from Jeon Min telling her about the flight timing and that he will be waiting for her.
Tastefully Yours Episode 5 Review

I can’t be the only one swooning for this drama, can I? Another week, another adorable episode of Tastefully Yours that will leave you smiling from ear to ear. Yoo Yoon-seok’s entry makes it a bit more delicious than one will expect, but things are already quite cute in the series. The restaurant sequence, including the awkward family meeting, is just so cute, but cuter are the reactions of the restaurant’s own members. I hope Jeon Min doesn’t bring around too many silly, over-the-top drama, although that preview might indicate otherwise.
