-Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Episode 7 Recap Contains Spoilers-
Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 episode 7 begins with Yeon and Moo-young trying to analyse their situation inside this realm that they have entered. The situation gets weirder when the scene begins changing and they come face to face with Hong-joo who doesn’t recognise them. The two find then themselves playing a new role each time and see lines in the script that have been taken from their memory.

Meanwhile, Shin-joo tells Taluipa about this which makes her furious as the one that the two have gone behind is the notorious Jang San-beom. This demon is known to imitate even gods and is nothing but trouble for all. She then finds out that the Jang San-beom’s realm has been connected to this world with a thread that Rang has a hold on.

Taluipa tells Shin-joo to inform Rang to not let his blood touch the thread as it will become a portal for the Jang San-beom to enter this world. However, they are late as Rang has already been tricked into putting his blood on the thread and is now being tricked by the Jang San-beom.

On the other hand, Moo-young has recognised the Jang San-beom and tries to attack him but fails. He is told that the world they are in has scenes taken from their memories when Yeon tries to stab Jang San-beom with his stick. However, Jang San-beom is not hurt which makes Yeon question Moo-young.
The scene then shifts and they are now becoming part of various television shows. From a 90s-like show with action scenes to a quiz show which is hosted by a man with Moo-young’s brother’s face.
Moo-young is furious when he sees the host and it gets worse when he questions Yeon about why he killed his brother. Yeon answers that he would do anything to save his friend as this was a promise they had once made. A flashback shows how Yeon killed Moo-young’s brother when he got up to attack Moo-young.

Moo-young is furious to hear Yeon’s answer when the latter realises that this is Jang San-beom’s plan to make them fight each other. He then moves towards one of the cameras and mocks Jang San-beom who is hidden among the crew members and changes the scene.
On the other hand, Yeo-hee arrives at Myoyeongak while Rang is fighting the shadows sent by Jang San-beom. One of them imitates Rang’s voice which finally pulls her inside the room to see the scene. She rushes to Rang and screams which chases away the shadows and clears up the blood on the thread.
Rang complains about how he once again owes her when Yeo-hee tells him there is a way to repay it all at once and leans in to kiss him. However, he turns his face which breaks her heart. Right then he pulls her back and the two share a kiss.

Elsewhere, we see Hong-joo being dressed as a bride and beginning the matrimonial ceremony with Jang San-beom who has her in his control. The two arrive to see Hong-joo standing in the middle of them and Jang San-beom. She is in a defensive position to keep him safe and begins fighting Yeon and Moo-young.

They notice her blank eyes and understand what has happened. While the trio fight amongst each other, Yeon and Moo-young try to bring her back. Finally, it is Moo-young who hands her a piece of the jade comb that they share which brings her back to reality.

Yeon confronts him about his identity as the masked man which Moo-young does not deny. He finally puts out all the anger he has towards Yeon and tells him that the Jang San-beom was nothing but medicine for his body.
He then comes forwards to attack Yeon when Rang arrives with a black cat and saves the day. However, Moo-young whispers his future into his ear before disappearing. The two finally make their way back. The next day, Hong-joo meets Moo-young and asks him about the reason why he is doing this.
He finally tells his plan to bring his brother back and asks her not to try to sway him from his decision. On the other hand, Ryuhei Kato plans to bring a notorious group to catch the demons roaming around Joseon.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Episode 7 Review
Episode 7 has begun the second half of the show; the fun now tones down while the seriousness is brought up. The plot is now ready to bring more action and plans that will only make Yeon’s time in 1938 more eventful.
This episode has become a breaking point for many and the story is only bound to get better from here. The highlights of this episode have to be Rang and Yeo-hee’s kiss as well as the scenes of the godly trio’s past. Their friendship really gets me warm and wishing for a whole new season focusing on their beginning.
This wish also has to do with the wish to see them in some beautiful costumes so let’s hope the writers bring us the past of the trio as a whole new season. Altogether, this episode has been filled with some hilarious advertisements and a wish for the next episode to arrive as soon as possible.
