When is Take Care of Maya Releasing? All About the Upcoming Investigative Documentary

Netflix is adding yet another title to their documentary roster with Take Care of Maya. This movie is directed by Henry Roosevelt and will feature the story of a family trying their level best to get their daughter back after a series of traumatic events. The documentary will star Jack Kowalski and Maya Kowalski, who will be sharing their story with the producers and directors.

Take Care of Maya Plot/Synopsis

According to the clip shared by the streaming platform, we see that the father is sharing his experience with the family. He was a firefighter, while his wife was a medical professional. Their child Maya was suffering from debilitating pain, one that they deduced was complex regional pain syndrome or CRPS. However, after going to many doctors and asking multiple professionals to treat her, other doctors became concerned that something deeper was lying under this narrative.

However, the family has to deal with the fact that their daughter will be taken by social services because they suspected that the parents were hurting Maya. Initially, social services thought that the parents were neglecting their firstborn, considering the number of doctors they had visited and the amount of treatment the little girl had been through. Things were getting depressing in their house, and the mother was trying her level best to get her child back.

One of the audio clips shared by Netflix shows this conversation between Beata Kowalski, Maya’s mother and a parental advocate speaking about getting Maya back. This case is doused with controversy, forcing people and public opinion to choose sides. While some people think that the parents are in the wrong, others are angry on behalf of those who lost their child to a social worker. To Beata, the social services people were bad. They were the ones who were hurting Maya and not letting her get the treatment she needed.

However, even beneath all of this concern, there are some who believe that Beata wasn’t completely okay. She needed help, especially from a mental health professional. There hasn’t been any contribution by Jack, and so far, that seems more suspicious because if things were going on in the house, he has to have had something.
