Operation Safed Sagar is an engaging military drama with heartfelt performances and emotional moments, but its familiar storytelling prevents it from standing out among other war series.

Directed by James Ashcroft, the story unwraps to bring into light the legacy of a serial-killer. The film's pacing can feel uneven, and some mysteries do not land with quite the punch they should have been, but the emotional payoff of the film gives it enough weight to rise above being just another serial-killer thriller film. It is creepy, heartbreaking and less interested in asking who the “monster” is than in asking how the monsters are made in the first place.
