The series is produced by BB Ki Vine Productions and has six episodes. The full main cast of the series is Bhuvan Bam as Vasant Gowde, J. D. Chakravarthy as Shetty, Atisha Naik as Vasant’s mother, Shilpa Shukla as Reshma, Shriya Pilgaonkar as Madhu, Deven Bhojani as Mehboob, Nitya Mathur as Mehboob’s daughter Shazia and Prathamesh Parab as Raja aka Peter.
Taaza Khabar Ending Explained: The Boon writes Vasant’s Fate
Vasant Gowde, who initially was seen as a sweetheart helping people around him despite his struggles, soon gets trapped in the sudden fame and money he earns. After his magical boon, where he gets to know breaking news beforehand, Vasant’s life rapidly changes. Overnight, he becomes a millionaire along with his teammates Raja, Madhu, Shazia and Mehboob.
As he expected, he buys a villa for his mother, proposes marriage to Madhu and has a happy time with Mehboob, Shazia and Raja. However, soon, when he runs behind money, his humbleness disappears. He starts to boss over his once-loved ones and even doubts them. As days pass, he starts using foul language towards the team, forcing them to quit being near him.
In the last episode, when Madhu somehow tries to fix everything, Vasant seems unafraid. When he gets a notification regarding Madhu and Shetty’s affair, rather than figuring out the cause, he immediately judges Madhu. Then an argument occurs between them, leading Vasant to kiss actress Suhani in front of Madhu. When Madhu questions it, Vasant brings in her past as a sex worker. Madhu then says that Vasant’s blessing has become a curse before leaving with Mehboob and Raja.
Towards the end, Vasant gets advice from his mother, making him revisit his neighbourhood. He visits the public latrine he used to work at and reminisces about his life. Then he visits his once happy and humble home, sits on his bed and breaks down. When he regrets and realises how cruel he has turned into, a notification pops.
The breaking news notifies that the famous millionaire Vasant Gowde was “found dead”. On reading this tragic news, Vasant freezes and the series end. It is evident that Vasant will get killed, but we have no idea by who. The series conveys that too much of anything is good for nothing.
Will there be a season 2 of Taaza Khabar?
As of now, no official news has been released regarding Taaza Khabar season 2. However, there are possibilities because we are still unsure whether Vasant will die. Even if that is so, we are uncertain whether he gets murdered or an accident occurs.
If there is a season 2, we can expect his new life with all the riches and his loved ones gone, how he subsequently uses his boon and such. But, if there is a season 2, the take-home message they’d wish to convey might not be decisive.
The series’ season 1 ending justifies the plot and seems sensible. It isn’t a cliffhanger though it looks like one. It just feels like, for all the mess Vasant created, his fate has been neared. Seems pretty legit to me. So a season 2 might or might not spoil the essence of season 1.
