Squid Game Season 2 Reactions on X Show the Chaos Caused By Another Cliffhanger from the Thriller

The much-awaited Squid Game Season 2 finally made its way to our screens and while the excitement has us all captured, fans are unable to shake off their frustration caused by another cliffhanger. The show has been immensely popular since the release of season 1 in 2021, and while the wait has definitely been worth it, the frustration this show loves to cause is only pushing us to the edge once again. But will that shake away our love for the show? Absolutely not!

Directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, the show stars Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, and other cast members. The plot follows Seong Gi-hun, a.k.a Player 456, who reenters the games but this time with a mission, to save as many lives as possible and put an end to this atrocity. But will he be able to succeed?

The anticipation held by fans for the return of the show after Seong Gi-hun decided to reenter the show towards the end of season 1 was unlike any other. The news of this new season has been known for quite a while and we have to say that it was all worth it. Now, X (formerly known as Twitter) is being filled with reactions from fans who have certainly binged on this 7-episode season 2 and are unable to hide their frustration.

While the fun, the mayhem and the bloodshed were once again top-notch, the storyline continues to push viewers to the edge with the unexpected twists and turns that are presented. The cinematography is stunning, taking us through a series of awestruck moments while the performance of the actors once again brings us those jaw-dropping moments. While Lee Jung-jae is certainly standing out as Seong Gi-hun, Gong Yoo has been another actor in the spotlight once again with his phenomenal performance.

The madness shown on the actors’ faces is breathtaking and fans are unable to applaud the performance put together by the cast members. Every single member of the cast has truly stood out this season with their unique characters and wonderful presentation. The plot may frustrate fans to no end but the visuals brought about by the cast members are worth spending hours on this show.

On the other hand, while fans are enjoying this new season of the show, some are also talking about how this new season and over-complicating the plot was unnecessary. While these comments may arise due to another frustrating cliffhanger which will hold them up until later 2025, we need to keep patience to see how the show is going to end this time. Surely, the characters and the plot have achieved a new level of madness in this season which we are also loving.

As the discussion about the show continues on X, here’s some of the reactions of the fans on social media that we just couldn’t miss out on.

“There has to be more to this story! Gihun shouldn’t have given Inho those extra gunshots. Reason Inho became 001 & entered this deadly game was to earn trust. Also, that boat owner is suspicious he drowned someone & is hiding it. #SquidGame2 #Netflix #SquidGameSeason2 #SquidGame” writes a fan as the deep diving into this season has already begun.

“can we also consider the fact that this is gong yoo’s first time playing a psycho villain role??? and this is the material he’s serving??? give him the best supporting actor award NOW #SquidGame2” writes one fan talking about the wonderful performance put out by Gong Yoo in this season of Squid Game.

On the other hand, some fans have also written, “spent 7 hours for nothing. all the elements from s1 are gone—the emotions, the quality, the thrill, and the game itself. they don’t need s3, to be honest; they could have just ended it. #SquidGame2

This is just the beginning as there are more reactions from fans that we just couldn’t look over! Let’s begin.
