Indian Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK Passes Away at 53, Friends and Fans Mourn His Loss

Late Tuesday night (May 31), Indian singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, also known as KK, passed away in Kolkata. The singer was 53 years old KK was in town for a performance at the Gurudas College’s Nazrul Manch function. As per the reports, KK was unwell during his performance. After returning to his hotel, the singer began to feel unwell, prompting him to be hurried to the hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.

KK’s demise has left the film industry, and his friends and fans are heartbroken. Pritam, the music composer with whom the singer gave some biggest hits in the 2000s is shocked to learn the news. A lot of Bollywood celebs, musicians and singers mourned his death. Fans who grew up listening to his iconic songs have shared how they feel a part of their childhood is gone forever.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid respect to singer Krishnakumar Kunnath. PM tweeted, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
