Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 13 Recap

The first business to arrive on the stage is Jewel Box, a conscious luxury brand that makes lab-grown diamond jewellery. After giving their pitch, they ask for Rs 1 crore in exchange for 2% equity. The Sharks ask them about their backgrounds and one of the founders finds very interesting connections with BoAt founder Aman Gupta. The founders discuss the making of lab-grown diamonds and their positives. The Sharks further question whether this business will be accepted in the Indian market, and the founders mention that since it has picked up in the US, there is a chance that India also pick the trend up.
Listening to their pitch, Aman & Radhika and Vineeta, Ritesh & Peyush give the founders their deal. In the end, all 5 sharks come on board at Rs 2 crore for 6% equity.
Before the second round commences, all the Sharks get letters from their near and dear ones which makes everyone emotional! The next round shows a brand called Daak Room, a business that inspires interest in writing letters within people through their campaigns and products. After discussing the intricacies of their business, the founders ask for Rs 36 lakhs for 4% equity. The Sharks mention that the founders have already bowled everyone over with their unique pitch which has made everyone extremely emotional. The founders discuss how they operate and why they want to get into this business and mention how they have heard back from many famous individuals, even from the Prime Minister of India.

Radhika and Aman don’t give an offer, but Vineeta and Ritesh both do give offers. In the end, the founders agree to enter a deal with Ritesh at Rs 36 lakhs for 6% equity. Afterwards, all the Sharks talk about their letters and get very emotional about the contents.
The next business to give their pitch is Nuvedo, a mushroom brand that specialises in organic and chemical-free mushrooms. Hoping to make mushrooms a household name, the founders ask for Rs 50 lakhs for 3% equity. The founders discuss their products and how one can grow mushrooms and eat them. After testing the products, the Sharks learn about the revenue of the company and the size of the market, and everyone looks a little disappointed with the scope of the business. Although the founders try to justify their business and why they got into it, the Sharks remain unconvinced.
Unfortunately, none of the Sharks find the business investable although they wish them the best for the future.
Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 13 Review

Another day of interesting businesses that have opened the eyes of the Sharks and the audience to the ingenuity of the masses and how fast the global market is changing. Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 13 brings forth three very interesting and very different businesses with unique ideas.
Although the first business, in spite of its logo looking a bit too familiar to BlueStone, has been gaining traction in India for the last few years, it’s Daak Room that wins the emotions of everyone this round and was quite sweet to witness the Sharks getting emotional. The last business, Nuvedo, is quite a unique entry and one that most audiences would not have known about. Although they get no funding this time, it might as well educate audiences about mushrooms and why one should have them.
In the end, the episode had a little less banter and more emotions. The dramatic turn of events with the letters, although sweet, felt a little out of place. I think I enjoy the little quips between the Sharks as much as learning about new businesses and ideas and the former was missing in this episode a little. However, I’ll give it a 10/10 for bringing something new to the table and a day without another generic clothing brand trying to get investment!
Shark Tank India Season 3 is streaming on SonyLIV.
