Shark Tank India Season 2 episode 28 and 29 premiered on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television on February 8 and 9, 2023, respectively at 10PM IST. Payel Seth is the show’s creative director, while it’s been produced by Studio NEXT, with Ravikesh Vatsa as its writer. The show is now hosted by renowned comedian Rahul Dua, and is joined by six sharks, namely, Anupam Mittal Founder-CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group; Aman Gupta, Co-Founder-CMO of boAt; Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals; Vineeta Singh, Co-Founder-CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics; Peyush Bansal, Founder-CEO of Lenskart.com and Amit Jain, Co-Founder-CEO of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com.
The official log-line of the most recent episode reads, “An innovative machine for tea sellers by ‘Mahantam’, ‘Mindpeers’ with their digital tool that helps users with mental strength and ‘Barosi’ with their organic natural products. Will the sharks be impressed?”
While the last few episodes have accentuated the audience’s love for Shark Peyush Bansal, his presence in the last episode reminds us why he receives such kinds of positive responses from the fans. Teaming up with Anupam, Aman and Namita, he dealt out a joint offer to the ‘MindPeers’ founders in addition to another solo offer in the mix for them.
Shark Anupam and Amit have constantly been at the opposite ends of a conversation so far when it comes to rising to the top during negotiations with the entrepreneurs. Audience has been majorly divided on the matter as well since some viewers side alongside Amit and vehemently disagree with the other Sharks for singling him out, the rest constitutes the percentage that lauds Anupam for his “clarity of thought”.
A common feature of the show also points to many Gujarati entrepreneurs making it to the second season, which has led the fans to coin a new name for it – ‘Gujju Tank’. With the majority of pitches being linked to either the lifestyle sector or food products, innovations have turned into a sight for sore eyes on the show. Episode 28 greeted the ‘Cloudworx’ pitch with much respect as its founder, Yuvraj Tomar, opened an introductory class on metaverse for the Indian audiences on the national platform.
