Shang Chi Review: Simu Liu’s MCU Film Impresses Fans and Critics

Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, Ben Kingsley, and Tony Leung, has now been released in theatres. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, it’s the first Asian superhero MCU film.

A lot of people have taken to their social media to share their Shang Chi Reviews. From fans to critics, everyone is raving about Marvel’s latest action flick. One person on Twitter wrote, “@shangchi was seriously perfect! What a great movie. Might be my favorite origin MCU movie! Damn @SimuLiu so good! The whole cast was epic. I need more! If it’s safe for you to see in a theater please do so. #shangchi #tenrings #mcu.”

“I wasn’t expecting #ShangChi to be THAT good. It was so good!! Definitely the best Marvel Origin story in a long time,” tweeted another user.

Talking about critics’ Shang Chi review, they are also impressed with Simu Liu’s performance, the action scenes and the story. Hindustan Times’ Rohan Naahar writes in his review, “As both an action star and as a dramatic performer, Simu Liu is a natural; he possesses all the qualities that Marvel looks for while casting its net for leading men and women — an easy charisma, a strong physical presence, and most importantly, instant relatability. As good as Liu is in his scenes with both his father and his best friend Katy (Awkwafina), the truest indication of his talents comes in a genuinely moving third-act admission by Shang-Chi.”

Pinkvilla’s Karishma Shetty writes in her Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings Review, “For all of us who’s craving for a theatrical experience of epic proportions, especially after the past few years of real-life mayhem, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is just that movie to spend your hard-earned money on, because you won’t be left disappointed, in the slightest. Anything that points in the right direction of diversity as a cinematic spectacle’s heart is a win-win situation.”
