Releasing on August 23, 2023 (KST), the SEVENTEEN Ima Even If the World Ends Tomorrow (今 -明日 世界が終わっても) MV and Always Yours music album have yet again reinstated CARATs’ love for the thirteen members of the group – SCoups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. The Japan Best Album included the K-pop boy group’s Japanese versions of their best hits so far in addition to new original tracks as well. The aforementioned single leads the album, along with Sara Sara being the other brand new Japanese song to be released through this album.
SEVENTEEN members have so far put out quite a few contents this year for their fans to relish including Jun’s solo single PSYCHO, their tour ‘FOLLOW’ TO SEOUL’s announcement, their tenth mini album FML led by a “Super” explosive dance presentation, and a lot more. Their second Korean comeback for October 2023 (reportedly) has also already been teased by several members on countless occasions, but the most crucial issue at hand that calls for our attention at the moment is the release of their lengthy Japanese music album brimming with one hit after another.
As always, the new music video rolled out by the Pledis Entertainment boy group (세븐틴) (under HYBE Labels now) has brought unfathomable comfort to its fans, who’ve also took a note of the video being replete with nostalgic callback references to the group’s old music videoz as well. Messages like “they are always going to be my home”, “Svt never fails to give us songs that feels like home” and more have helped CARATs tap back into their happy memories.
Moreover, since the song refers to the visuals of an end of the world scenario to drive the audience’s attention to the moments of life we have now and the importance of making the most of the present moment along with all the deep bonds that define our existence, the heartwarming lyrics have driven fans to teary-eyed responses.
As words fell short for CARATs to express their love for the thirteen artists, they also hoped for the group to “be an exception to the cliche that nothing lasts forever” and thanked OT13 for existing at the same time as themselves, and also driving away their fears about the future, even if momentarily. The boy group’s first “best of” Japanese collection album drop has been a successful one. Its track list includes a total of 27 songs, with 9 original Japanese hits listed on Disc A and the remaining 18 Japanese versions of their Korean tracks on Disc B.
