tvN never slows down in bringing us some of the most heartfelt love stories; the See You in My 19th Life trailer sparks a new beginning on the same page. Ready to stream this June, the series boasts of its beautiful casting choices as Ahn Bo-hyun and Shin Hye-sun are set to lead the narrative of the upcoming South Korean drama series.
Netflix released the first trailer for the same on June 2, 2023, with English subtitles for its international audiences who’ve ben swept away by the Hallyu wave already. Adapted from the webtoon of the same name (이번 생도 잘 부탁해) created by Lee Hye, the fantasy romance series has been directed by Lee Na-jung for TV, with Choi Young-rim joining as the screenwriter.
As the trailer sweeps into motion, Bo-hyun’s voice is heard in the background while he reviews Ban Ji-eum’s (Hye-sun) resume. Their supposed meet-cute isn’t the first time they’re meeting each other. Moon Sio-ha can’t help but be pulled back into the memories of his past, just when Ji-eum asks him if he believes in past lives.
The video snaps back to a different age when the two people were young kids and having a similar discussion. Both the younger version of Ji-eum’s character and her present self claim to remember their past lives. However, the latter only seems to be declaring these words in her thoughts. Meanwhile, a strange feeling tugs at Moon Seo-ha’s heartstrings, who’s constantly reminded of Ju-won, possibly his previous life’s love, despite her not sharing any resemblance with Ji-eum.
A voiceover takes charge as Ji-eum’s secret is revealed further – she was reincarnated in her 19th life solely to meet Moon Seo-ha. The general synopsis of the show states that Ban Ji-eum has been living through reincarnations for many years now, but her 18th life’s romance was sabotaged when her term got tragically cut off earlier than expected.
The main cast of the tvN drama also includes Ha Yoon-kyung as Yoon Cho-won and Ahn Dong-goo as Ha Do-yoon. As far as the supporting cast is concerned, Kim Shi-ah, Park So-yi, Jung Hyun-joon, Gi So-yoo, Ryu Hae-jun and some others will also be seen in the episodes.
Ahn Bo-hyun was last seen in Gold Spoon (2023), Adams (2022) and Yumi’s Cells Season 2 (2022), while Shin Hye-sun was spotted in Welcome to Samdalri (2023), and Mr Queen (2020).
