See You in My 19th Life Episode 7 Recap

The episode begins with Ji-eum reminiscing over her past lives and how far she has come. She does not forget her previous struggles which have shaped her into the version of herself she is today. Meanwhile, Jin-ho, Seo-ha’s father, orders his employee to get rid of Mr Bang and he is instead let off with a warning to leave the country and change his identity. The incident forces Bang to make a deal with Seo-ha and provide proof about who organised the hit against him.

Do-yun is having sudden flashbacks about the past night when he got drunk. Cho-won calls him and tells him that she went to pick him up yesterday from the restaurant as he was unable to go home by himself. In flashbacks, it is shown that Do-yun tries to kiss Cho-won in his drunken state, but he passes out in her arms instead.

Later, Seo-ha is seen having dinner with his father and aunt; however, as he was uncomfortable in their company, he leaves the table without finishing the food. He gets a call from Bang, who informs him that his killer is from within the MI Group itself, someone very close to him. This information leaves him distraught, and he jumps inside the swimming pool, fully clothed.

On the other hand, Ji-eum invites Cho-won to dinner at her place, where she meets Ae-kyung. Cho-won finds out that Ae-kyung was Ji-eum’s niece in her previous life. As they continue their casual meeting, Cho-won gets drunk and calls up Do-yun to drop her home in a way to return the favour she had done for him. Do-yun walks her home, but Cho-won insists on going by herself and twists her ankle on the way.

Meanwhile Seo-ha calls Do-yun to pick him up, but Ji-eum appears instead. They share an intimate moment with each other, which leads to a passionate kiss. She cooks him some food and confesses again. But Seo-ha stops her and says that the third confession will come from his side as he also develops feelings for her. Ji-eum’s brother calls Seo-ha to ask for some money. Ji-eum sees the call and goes over to her brother’s house and warns him never to contact Seo-ha again.

The next day Ji-eum has an intense conversation with Min-gi and asks him about his true identity. Min-gi reveals that even he is able to remember his past lives and hands her the device shaped like a bell which enables a person to see the reason behind their ability. It is revealed that a curse was inflicted upon Ji-eum, which is why she remembers about her past lives.

In the office, Ji-eum meets with the same girl that she saw on the road a few days back. Upon asking who she was, the girl reveals that she, too, can remember her past lives. She is none other than Seo-ha’s mother, who passed away tragically due to a terminal disease. They both reconnect and bid their goodbyes.

Seo-ha gets another call from Mr Bang and, this time, gives him an address. Ji-eum follows him as well since she thought he would be in danger. However, Seo-ha convinces her not to follow him and remain beside the car. But as Seo-ha is walking, a sudden memory flashes in Ji-eum’s head, and she sees Seo-ha in a traditional Korean outfit. The episode ends on that note.

See You in My 19th Life Episode 7 Review

The K-drama contains a complex and deeper plot rather than a simple, romantic one. Consistently a lot of overshadowing has been done to build up the anticipation among fans before revealing the plot twist. So far, the story has been executed to perfection, adding adequate amounts of romance, comedy and drama. As the drama moves forward, the story becomes more interesting, keeping the viewers hooked for the long run.

Moreover, the actors continue to give good performances, which helps the fans to invest in the show completely. The magnificent scenic shots add to the beauty and elevate the storytelling process of the series.

Teach You a Lesson Review: Netflix’s Controversial K-Drama Packs a Satisfying Punch

Netflix’s Teach You a Lesson transforms the controversial webtoon Get Schooled into a fast-paced action drama. While Kim Moo-yul leads an engaging cast and the series offers satisfying confrontations, its handling of complex issues like bullying and education often feels simplistic, making for an entertaining yet uneven watch.
