See You in My 19th Life (이번 생도 잘 부탁해) is a South Korean romantic comedy-drama series that is based on the webtoon of the same name by Lee Hye. Directed by Lee Na Jung and screenplay by Choi Young Rim, the fantasy series follows the story of Ban Ji-eum, who has an extraordinary ability to remember all the memories of all her past lives.

The series is executive produced by Kim Sun-tae and Jung Hyun-wook alongside Lee Ji-yoon produces it. It takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9:20 KST slot previously occupied by Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938.

Netflix’s synopsis of the show reads as: “Ban Ji-eum can endlessly reincarnate. But when her 18th life gets cut short, she dedicates the next one to finding her now grown-up childhood love.”

The first episode of the series starts with Ban Ji-eum appearing in a flowy blue dress overlooking the sea. She explains about her special ability to remember her past lives and how she has been born multiple times throughout centuries.  Currently, she was living her 19th life and was born in a modest yet dysfunctional family.

Suddenly, the memories of her 18th life came to her one night. She remembered how she died and the boy that was inside the car during the accident. The boy’s name was Moon Seo-ha, the son of a chaebol with whom she had a close friendship. After remembering that he survived the impact, she became determined to find him again and rekindle their relationship. However, it was not an easy task to do so.

Soe-ha soon moved to Germany Ji-eum did not have enough capital to travel so she started to study hard and grab a high-paying job. While working, she found out that Seo-ha returned to South Korea, and she decided to meet him. Seo-ha required new staff and employees, and he came across Ji-eum’s resume. Impressed by her achievements at such a young age, he called her in for an interview.
