The final episode of this Hulu original dropped, and people are losing their minds in the Saint X finale reactions. This is a psychological thriller show based on the book of the same title by Alexis Schaitkin stars Alycia Debnam Carey as Emily, West Duchovny as Alison, Jayden Elijah as Edwin, Josh Bonzie as Gogo, Kenlee Anaya Townsend as Young Claire, Michael Park as Bill Thomas and Betsy Brandt as Mia Thomas, alongside other cast members. The series is created by Leila Gerstein and directed by Darren Grant and Dee Rees. The cinematography is done by Tony Mirza and Richard Rutkowski.
Premiering on May 31, 2023, and titled ‘Faraway’, Saint X Season 1 finale was directed by Ekwa Msangi and written by Leila Gerstein. Based on the novel of the same name penned by Alexis Schaitkin, the Hulu series used the means of flashbacks to address Alison’s death. With new revelations on the plate, the viewers of the show clearly have a lot to balance and deal with.
Although the past has more to do with Alison’s story, the present concerns itself with Emily’s perspective. Played by Alycia Debnam-Carey, this particular leading character has held audience’s attention till now especially due to Alicia’s acting chops. The latest episode further delved into showcasing her talents as moments of vulnerability allowed the actress to broaden her range as an actor. Having won over people to her side, who’re now her fans, Alycia had several netizens applauding her growth in this domain, and the way she pulled off this character’s portrayal.
Despite the truth having revealed itself in he end, viewers who were hooked on to the series since April 26, 2023, didn’t hold back their own theories regarding the murder mystery either. Some also experienced mild withdrawal syndrome upon having to bid farewell to the series. If one half of the show’s fandom claimed the ending to be “dumb”, the other one just couldn’t deal with how sad everything was, leading its members to hold on to hopes for the renewal of the second season to see more of Edwin, Gogo and Emily’s stories.
