Netizens tweeted about Ricky’s 2020 Golden Globes speech, where he joked (called out) the elites of Hollywood in his stand up act.
Someone on Twitter shared his Golden Globes speech video and wrote, “RT if you wish @rickygervais was hosting the #Oscars tonight.” The After Life actor replied to the tweet and shared everything he would have included in his speech.
Ricky wrote, “I’d start with “Hello. I hope this show helps cheer up the ordinary people watching at home. If you’re unemployed, for example, take some comfort in the fact that even if you had a job, your salary probably wouldn’t be as much as the goody bag all the actors have just been given.”
“I’m proud to announce that this is the most diverse and progressive Oscars ever. Looking out, I see people from all walks of life. Every demographic under the sun. Except poor people, obviously. F*ck them.”, added Ricky Gervais.
From the David Brent Music Twitter account, Ricky shared a scene from the British comedy show, The Office. In the video, his character makes fun of someone who has alopecia. In the video, his character Brent says – “And she’s got alopecia. So… not a happy homelife.”
The actor shared more such reactions in other tweets, adding his bit of hilarious reaction to the Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscars drama. Some Twitter users also shared how it would’ve been if Ricky had hosted the Oscars 2022.
