Revenge of Others (3인칭 복수) is a Korean drama-thriller series that brings out the sister’s desperation to find out the truth of her brother’s so-called suicide. Directed by Kim Yoo-jin, the Korean series stars Shin Ye-eun, Lomon, Seo Ji-hoon, Chae Sang-woo, Lee Soo-min, and Jung Soo-bin, alongside other cast members.
The 12 episodes show premiered on November 9, 2022, and releases 2 new episodes every week on Wednesday at 1:30 PM IST on Disney+. Revenge of Others episode 5 has a run time of 60 minutes.
The synopsis of the show reads:
THE SERIES DEPICTS A TEEN REVENGE THRILLER WHEN CHAN-MI, WHO SEARCHES FOR THE TRUTH ABOUT HER TWIN BROTHER’S DEATH, AND SOO-HEON, WHO STARTS REVENGE AGAINST AN UNFAIR WORLD, GET CAUGHT UP IN A SHOCKING INCIDENT THAT SHOOK HER LIFE

Revenge of Others episode 5 begins with us finding out that Jae-beom was not the one who called Chan-mi to meet and the two suddenly see a student rushing past the door and start to run behind them. However, they soon lose sight of that person and have no choice but to go back.
Chan-mi then goes to meet the investigators who apologise for not believing in her the last time and ask her in details about what happened on the call. They then tell her to not look for the perpetrator and let them investigate the case.

Elsewhere, Jae-beom asks O-sung about the note which he denies leaving behind for Chan-mi while Hong A-jung returns to school with a big news. The investigators call Soo-heon for questioning and are unable to get much information from him too.
Later, he is asked about his future from his homeroom teacher which takes him to visit him mother as he keeps pushing the pain he is feeling deep inside his heart. Later, Chan-mi asks him to accompany her to her brother’s adoptive family to pick up the things belonging to her brother.
There they give her a bag that has a lock which they kept back while everything else has already been taken care of by them. However, their behaviour towards Won-seok irks Soo-heon who cannot help but lash out for Won-seok and Chan-mi’s sake.
The two come back and Chan-mi is able to unlock the bag where she finds miscellaneous things belonging to her brother. As the two share the bottle of whiskey that they found inside his bag, Soo-heon gets emotional of what is left of the dead and rushes to the rooftop.
Chan-mi follows him after some time and sees him crying as she leans in to give him a hug. The next day, Chan-mi finds a way to meet A-jung with Soo-heon’s help and finds out that she was never really Won-seok’s girlfriend.
This leaves Chan-mi stunt while A-jung leaves to have lunch with her So-yeon and Soo-heon who are surprised when she reveals that she is pregnant. Elsewhere, Chan-mi arrives at the cafe her brother once mentioned and meet Kwon Se-jin who tells her that he was acquainted with Won-seok.
He tells her that Won-seok helped him when he was being bullied for being the child of gay parents and was a good person. Chan-mi is surprised because all this while she thought that her brother was in the wrong. Later, it is revealed that Se-jin was aware of who she was as Won-seok had shown her picture to him.

The next day, A-jung and So-yeon go to the gynaecologist for the former’s appointment when someone cuts the queue and enters before them. However, this person becomes the reason for the doctor’s panic attack and the patients are all asked to leave.
That is when A-jung remembers that the person is Ju Hyeokgeon who had killed that doctor’s daughter two years back when they were in the 8th grade. However, he was not punished as he was a minor even when he had stabbed the female student 20 times.
On the other hand, Jae-beom seems to be trying to get closer to Soo-heon as he takes him out for a drive and even asks him for a basketball game the next day. After going out for a drive, So-yeon meets Soo-heon and asks him to take care of Ju Hyeokgeon after telling him the crime he had committed.
Elsewhere, Jae-beom becomes aware of someone’s presence in his room when he finds his keys misplaced and a book he had not seen. Inside the book he finds a picture of himself with another student.
Revenge of Others Episode 5 Ending
Revenge of Others episode 5 ends the next day when O-sung notices the closeness between Jae-beom and Soo-heon but doesn’t say anything. Later, Jae-beom shows him the pictures and asks who the other person is when O-sung reveal that it is Park Won-seok.
So-yeon is preparing the path for Soo-heon to take care of Ju Hyeokgeom and passes on the necessary information to him while asking him to ambush the same day. Soo-heom agrees and cancels his plans with Jae-beom and sneaks into the shop where Ju Hyeokgeom is all alone.
There he ties him up, frightens him, and tells him to apologise to the victim’s mother after which he leaves. The next day, he reports to So-yeon and gets his phone back while unaware that Ju Hyeokgeom’s case has taken a turn.

Revenge of Others Episode 5 Review
Another round of twists and turns and I can almost say that this show is completely unpredictable with surprises and characters that will pop out from every corner. This episode brought to us anther round of bullying and juvenile criminals who are able to easily make an escape.
The character of Ju Hyeokgeom really makes us all angry but it also brings out the truth of the lose ends in the law that let go of juvenile delinquents so easily.
The ending of this episode has also got me really intrigued because Soo-heon wasn’t shown doing anything more to Ju Hyeokgeom, however, we never know who harmed him which makes us think of the possibility of another killer out there.
I have also liked how this show does not just focus on Ok Chan-mi but also doesn’t forget her because at the end of the day, this is her story.
