Red Swan Episode 6 Recap
After being followed by the drones for quite some time, Wan-soo’s car is finally hit by one of the drones, leaving a burning wreckage in its wake. The killer turns out to be Lee Jin, who leaves after checking whether or not everyone is dead. However, after she leaves, Do-yoon finds a way out of the burning car and takes Wan-soo out with him. Hurt and bleeding, he falls down protecting her and all three of them are eventually rescued by emergency services.

At the hospital, it turns out that all three of them are alive and Lee Jin informs someone over the phone that the mission has failed. At home, Sang-il pays the Commissioner General off so that he doesn’t investigate anything about the incident and keeps things under wraps. Meanwhile, at the hospital, a tense Won-soo goes to meet Do-yoon, only to find the bed empty. We see him getting the CCTV footage from the crash site from a colleague, ready to dive into who could’ve tried to murder him.
Meanwhile, things remain tense between Yong-min and his family as he and his wife refuse to bow down to anyone and refuse to get into business without an apology from Won-soo. Although Sang-il tries to talk sense into them, they refuse to listen and keep putting their points across. At the hospital, Wan-soo meets Do-yoon before leaving and asks him why he continues to put himself in danger for her, eventually telling him that she trusts him before sharing a tender moment together.

At home, Wan-soo and Mi-ran continue to share an icy conversation and she instructs her to talk to Tae-ra’s half-brother who is a hedge fund manager in Hong Kong. During that conversation, Wan-soo reminds Tae-ra about her boundaries and instructs her to not overdo anything so as to not get kicked out. Wan-soo later talks to Hyun-soo about getting the NOW Foundation ledgers but the two have a falling out after he asks her to stay away from this mess because both of them can end up getting arrested if anything comes out. Meanwhile, Do-yoon tries to convince Kyeong-ju to tell him the truth about who could be trying to kill Wan-soo.
That night, Wan-soo comes over to Do-yoon’s room in order to update him about the ledgers and asks him to get them for her. The next day, Do-yoon finds a chance to break into Sang-il’s house and find the ledgers but finds many roadblocks on the way, one being a particularly invested Lee Jin. She immediately lets Sang-il know, who asks Jin to keep an eye on everything at NOW Foundation. On the other hand, after installing a camera in his home, Do-yoon finds the ledgers just as he is about to leave empty-handed. However, it seems like Sang-il keeps the slush fund ledgers hidden in the safe.

Just as Do-yoon brings the ledgers back to Wan-soo at NOW Foundation, they are visited by the Prosecutor’s Office with a search and seizure warrant as well as an arrest warrant for Hyun-soo. The situation leaves Hyun-woo and Do-yoon shocked.
Red Swan Episode 6 Review
The fact that Wan-soo continues to make these rash decisions consistently is both flabbergasting and annoying. I feel like, before stealing stuff from your rich mother-in-law, you should’ve had a plan ready to save Hyun-soo. The bad situation has played out just as you’d expect and watching her make consistently bad decisions and then crying about an expected outcome is nothing short of a headache at this point. Why she can’t plan for things before going on the offensive is lost to me but hey, that’s our protagonist!

Other than that, I am consistently entertained by Seo Yi-sook’s antics and annoyed with Tae-ra’s character, which seems to be a nothing character – just there for the laughs. It’s embarrassing watching her beg for Yong-kook’s affection like this, even if she’s a secondary character. Both of these female characters needed some back backbone in one way or another and the fact that they push it off like a “haha concubine” joke is a little yucky after a while.
