Project K Poster was released today to wish Deepika Padukone on her birthday, as well as reveal the first look of the most anticipated film. It is an upcoming science fiction film written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and the film is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi languages.
It is said to be one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, while the music score is composed by Mickey J. Meyer with cinematography by Dani Sanchez Lopez. So far the confirmed cast of the film includes Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Dulquer Salman, Suriya and Brahmanandam.
The was first announced in 2019, however, it was delayed and a confirmed release date hasn’t been announced yet. Fans have speculated a late 2023 or early 2024 release but it can only be confirmed by the creators. They have recently shared a behind-the-scenes video showing how the props for the film were made from scratch and the planning behind everything.

Today, as soon as the character poster was released, it became a topic of discussion and started trending on social media. Many people were quick to point out that the poster had a resemblance to the Hollywood film Dune which features actors like Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya and others.
While the 2021 film is set in the distant future and thrusts the characters into a war for the deadly and inhospitable desert planet Arrakis. The original plot for the upcoming Indian film hasn’t been revealed and from a poster, it cannot be inferred if there are similarities in the story. But so far, the fans are happy to know that the Indian filmmakers are venturing towards the science fiction genre and are eager to know more about it.
