Pretty Little Liars Original Sin Ending Explained

The mystery behind Angela Waters and the mothers has been a huge focus of the series. In the final episode of Pretty Little Liars Original Sin, we get to know how the mothers bullied and treated Angela in school and how they are connected and why their daughters are getting targeted.

When we take a jump back to 1999, we get to see how Angela was bullied and mistreated by Imogen’s mother, Davie, and her friends. It is revealed that during that time Angela was raped by Tom Beasley, who was dating Davie during that time. Davie did not accept the accusations and instead made sure along with her friends that Angela’s life becomes a living hell by making her invisible in school, bullying her, and making a breakup happen between Mouse’s mother, Elodie and her and more. Thus, the YK2 becomes the brink where Angela snaps and, she ends up killing herself in the most horrific manner.

So, after Angela’s death, who becomes the ‘A’ in the new Liars’ life that threatens them? Ahead of the revelation of the identity of our mystery killer, the girls’ mothers are kidnapped and they are tasked with some unthinkable, horrific and hurtful tasks. However, the inherent goodness in them saves them and they are able to unmask A, who turns out to be the Millwood High Principal Marshall Clanton.

Taking another jump into the past, we get to know how Clanton and Angela’s mother, Rose, were together and had twins, who weren’t aware of until one of them came to Milwood High School. However, when he realized Angela was his daughter and he witnessed her mistreatment, he couldn’t do much. But, he was determined to exact revenge. Thus, he articulated the plan.

But, it was Archie, Angela’s twin brother and Clanton’s son who turns out to be the Miles Myer of this story. The guy under the mask is the brother with a deformity, with a face only a mother can love and thus, his identity has been always kept a secret. But, she also mistreated and abused him all the while he was back at home, creating him to be what he is today.

After all the revelations there are some tough calls. Clanton is downright arrested but, he sends Archie after Imogen and her baby. Imogen fights off her killer while in labour and injures him. Meanwhile, Sheriff Beasley gets shot by Martha, his wife, when Kelly spills the truth about Angela Waters and the Sheriff threatens to kill her. Imogen’s baby is put for adoption and is taken up by, surprise! surprise!, Aria and Ezra! The assault Imogen and Tabby faced turns out to be from Chip.

But, once the girls put everything behind them and decide to live a fresh and better life, misery strikes again. At the end of Pretty Little Liars Original Sin, we see Archie recovered at a hospital. He ends up killing Sheriff Beasley for his crimes and kills Chip too for the assault he has done.
