It’s time to check out the Perfect Marriage Revenge episode 1 preview (완벽한 결혼의 정석) to find out what all surprises are in store for us while we indulge in the latest romantic revenge drama show’s entertaining ride. Directed by Oh Sang-won and written by Im Seo-ra, the K-drama releasing this week is based on Lee Beom-bae and Young’s webtoon of the same name.

Last seen in a supporting role in the Netflix K-drama Celebrity, Jung Yoo-min is set to lead the forthcoming story alongside Sung Hoon who’s well known for his portrayal in the 2017 series Five Enough alongside Shin Hye-sun. Yoo-min has also stepped in for several special appearances in many K-dramas like Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Hospital Playlist, Itaewon Class and others. This time, the two renowned celebrities will be seen together as an unlikely romantic pairing in this revenge drama plot.

Perfect Marriage Revenge Plot

Han Yi-joo, a painter, is an adopted child and her father runs the Hanwool Financial Group. Despite the affluent lifestyle at her feet, Yi-joo could never find happiness in their house as her parents and sister didn’t love her. On getting married to Jung Se-hyeok, she finds out that his husband actually loves her sister, and again feels isolated.

Certain accidental events follow and she finds herself back in time when she’d merely been engaged to him, and not married. Using this as the perfect opportunity to avenge herself and teach her family a lesson, she decides to enter into a marriage contract with Seo Do-guk, the man her sister wanted to marry. Though she’d thought of this fake marriage to spite her family, Yi-joo’s plan takes a drastic turn because Do-guk, while agreeing to the contract, wants to it become a real marriage.

Perfect Marriage Revenge Kdrama Cast

Led by Sung Hoon as Seo Do-guk, Jung Yoo-min as Han Yi-joo, the upcoming series will also star Jin Ji-hee as Han Yoo-ra, Kang Shin-hyo as Seo Jong-wook, and Oh Seung-yoon as Yoo Se-hyuk in the main cast. Taking on supporting roles alongside them, Lee Min-young, Jeon No-min, Lee Byung-joon, Ban Hyo-jung, Kim Eung-soo, Lee Mi-sook, Oh Ha-nee and others will also be seen in the series.

The new webtoon adaptation series will be airing on the South Korean cable TV network MBN every Saturday and Sunday at 9:50 PM KST. It will eventually also stream on Viki.

The first episode of the TV show will air on October 28, 2023, at 9:50 PM KST on the South Korean network MBN. It will also be released on the online streaming platform Viki for international audiences.

The Perfect Marriage Revenge webtoon adaptation starts airing this week on MBN.
