One Piece Poster: Iñaki Godoy Starrer Live-Action Pirate Adventure to Set Sail This Year

One Piece Poster in which all the characters are present has been revealed by Netflix. The live-action pirate adventure is based on the most popular manga series in history created by Eiichiro Oda (who also serves as executive producer). In partnership with Shueisha, it is produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix. Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are writers, executive producers and showrunners. Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements are also executive produce.

In the manga, the story follows the young Monkey D. Luffy who sets sail on his quest for the world’s greatest treasure, the mysterious One Piece, with the help of a ragtag crew called the Straw Hat Pirates. In this series, Iñaki Godoy will play the rubber-skinned teenage hero as he attempts to become King of the Pirates.

The ensemble cast of the series includes Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Alongside McKinley Belcher III, Morgan Davies, Aidan Scott, Vincent Regan, Jeff Ward, Craig Fairbrass, Langley Kirkwood, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Chioma Umeala and Steven Ward.

In the released poster, we can see the entire Straw Hat Pirates with Sanji on the left in his black suit while Nami stands with her bo staff beside him. Luffy is in the middle, and Usopp is sitting down, right beside him and Zoro is on the right with the swords and green hair. As they all stand in front of the Going merry ship, from islands to oceans, Luffy and his crew will have to outrun their fair share of dangers and rivals as they search for their treasure.

In the set sneak peek video released last year, we get to see how they built the Baratie, which is an ocean-going restaurant, run by Zeff. It is actually the fourth story arc in the manga and shows how after meeting with Usopp, they realise the need for a cook and that’s how they meet Sanji on Baratie.

One Piece is definitely one of the most anticipated series from which the fans have really high hopes. So far the premise looks promising and we can expect the first look to drop soon.
