The much-awaited OMG 2 Trailer is now out. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. It is a sequel to the 2012 film OMG which starred Akshay along with Paresh Rawal. A few days ago, the makers dropped a teaser trailer that created a lot of curiosity among the movie-going audience and fans of the first movie.
As seen in the trailer, Pankaj Tripathi is playing the role of Lord Shiva devotee Kanti Sharan Mudgal. The cast also includes Arun Govil (guess who he is playing), Yami Gautam, Govind Namdev, and Fahim Fazli. The movie has been directed by Amit Rai (Road to Sangam). The music has been composed by Mangesh Dhakde.
In the trailer, we see that some act of vulgarity (we do not know what, but only that it has gone viral on social media) by Kanti Sharan Mudgal’s son brings Kanti to the court of law. Just like Kanji Lalji Mehta, he, too, has to defend his own case (probably because no lawyer wants to defend him). Kanti will be facing Yami Gautam’s Sanjana Tripathi, who will be presenting the prosecution.
While the posters prove that the makers and Akshay have nailed the look, the teaser also provided him with his own sacred bull Nandi who is also his animal form. While the song “Unchi Unchi Wadi Mein” portrays the devotion of Shiva’s devotees, especially Kanti Sharan Mudgal, “Har Har Mahadev” is Akshay’s introduction.
Whether and how Kanti defends his son is what the movie is all about. Sure enough, his prayer to Shiva to help his son is answered in a most apt manner as Shiva himself arrives to help him. Needless to say, he will be helping Kanti, filling him up on morals, ethics, scriptures and all that he needs to know in order to realise the difference between what is right and what is wrong. This will help Kanti take a stand in the court of law.
