Noshtoneer: All About Hoichoi’s Upcoming Drama Series

Bengali content lives on Hoichoi, especially thriller and mystery content, like the upcoming series Noshtoneer. Viewers are excited to see a specific platform dedicated to a specific language. It allows all kinds of stories to be told in that language because the niche is so small that any kind of exploration would have this one restriction. This series, however, is directed by Aditi Roy, while Samragnee Bandyopadhyay serves as the story, screenplay and dialogue writer.

It is produced by Abhishek Daga, who is joined by executive producers Kranti Bhowmick and Siddhant Seth. While Alok Maity joins as the cinematographer, and Maloy Laha serves as the editor of the series. Episodes are set to be 22-24 minutes long in duration.

Noshtoneer Plot/Synopsis

In a world where consent has become the buzzword, this series explores what it means when a powerful married man with a child is accused of assault. The twist is that the girl is seen as someone who gets a new boyfriend every few months. While this does not excuse anyone’s behaviour, it neither makes her accusation invalid, but there is a rumble in the educational institution. However, it is not the man on whom this story focuses. It is his wife who has to grapple with the fact that her husband is someone who can assault people.

Additionally, we get an insight into the interaction the alleged victim and his wife is having. We see how their conversations bring to light the kind of dynamic that exists between women who might be put against each other. This story shows how women from different spectrums are stuck trying to understand a narrative that they don’t have control over. He may be an assaulter, but it is highly probable that he will be getting off scot-free while others suffer from his actions. In this case, his wife has to make one of the most difficult decisions.

Viewers may enjoy seeing such a modern take on what seems to be a recurring problem in society. There is a powerful man who has assaulted someone. The story moving away from him and instead focusing on the people it affects is a smart way to explore the impact of violence and its presence in our world.
