Nice to Not Meet You Episode 14 Recap

Nice to Not Meet You Episode 14 Review: Kim Jae-cheol

The episode begins, and we get more clarity on the situation between Jae-hyung and Hwa-young. Hwa-young did not want to leave Jae-hyung all those years back and was forced to do so because of his brother, Dae-ho. Apparently, he threatened her when she tried to investigate his illegal dealings. There is a high chance that he is the one who caused the accident that took away Jae-hyung’s chance of staying as a professional player. This makes sense considering how Hwa-young left Jae-hyung even when she loved him very much. She was most probably threatened with his life, and she chose to save him.

On the other hand, Jeong-sin gets a visit from Dae-ho, who then goes on to threaten her as well. He tells her not to snoop around his business, and if she fails to do so, she will face the consequences. Jeong-sin obviously does not get scared, and she stands her ground. Later, we see that Hwang actually got kicked out of his own company, and he finally realizes the problem he is in. Not only that, but Byung-gi also decides to completely change the script of Hyun-jun’s series and even plans on teaching him a lesson.

Following this, Hyun-jun asks Jeong-sin to come to his house, and she goes there to find out what it’s about. There, Hwang was also present, and he let her know about the problem in his office. She then proceeds to make them understand just where they made a mistake. She tells them how they essentially sold their company to Dae-ho, and now the only thing they can do is gather evidence against Dae-ho. Hwang agrees, and he even thanks Jeong-sin a lot. Things become worse for Hyun-jun when he starts to disagree with Byung-gi over the script. He believes that his character is not supposed to turn evil, and Byung-gi thinks otherwise.

But even this situation turns funny when Hyun-jun leaves again to save Jeong-sin, and Byung-gi follows him with the entire crew to finally nab him. Byung-gi swears that he will make Hyun-jun shoot all the scenes in one single day without making him rest at all. Funnily enough, when the director sees that Hyun-jun is getting beaten by some thugs, he does come to his rescue. However, amidst all this chaos, Jeong-sin manages to get all the documents she needed from Hwang’s office.

Thankfully, we finally get a date between the leads where they go on a fun romantic date. Here, Jeong-sin lets her love for Pil-gu show, and through her, Hyun-jun realises the importance of this character. After some time, Hyun-jun invites himself to Jeong-sin’s house when his brother decides to go watch the series with his friend. Needless to say, this results in a very awkward but hilarious situation.

However, when it comes to romance, things are getting heated up as Se-na wants to get back with Hyun-jun. She even thinks of starting dating rumours with him and tries that at a press conference. Obviously, Jeong-sin was also part of this press conference and was not impressed by this. Thankfully, Hyun-jun confesses his love for Jeong-sin directly and indirectly in front of everyone.

Nice to Not Meet You Episode 14 Review

I like today’s episode, as it showed more romance scenes than ever. Yet, because the series is primarily comedic, it avoids the romantic moments a bit too much. I would have liked a bit more chemistry between the leads.
