Netflix’s Tomorrow: Meet the Stunning Star Cast of the New Korean Show

Netflix is going all in with Kdramas this April 2022 and, Tomorrow is one of the first to be released. Created by Studio N, the upcoming show is based on the manga of the same name by Llama. It is developed by Hong Sook-woo (MBC), written by Park Ran-i, Park Ja-kyung, Kim Yu-jin and, directed by Kim Tae-yoon and Sung Chi-wook. Produced by Studio N, Super Moon Pictures and, distributor by MBC and Netflix, the series flaunts an incredible star cast.

A fantasy genre Kdrama, the premise for the show on Netflix states- “Made half-human and half-spirit by accident, a young man is employed by a company of grim reapers in the underworld to carry out special missions”. Ahead of its release, let us quickly look through the main cast of the show!

Tomorrow: Meet the Star Cast

Kim Hee-sun

Kim Hee-sun rose to fame in the 1990s as she took on the leading roles in various television series including Men of the Bath House (1995), Wedding Dress (1997), Mister Q (1998), Sunflower (1998), and others. The actor was last seen in the 2019 film Paper Flower and, the 2020 SBS series Alice, playing the role of Yoon Tae-yi / Park Sun-young. In Netflix’s upcoming drama, Hee-sun will play the role of Goo-ryeon, a grim reaper, who is also the leader of Zumadung (a crisis management team). The Miracle in Cell No. 7 actor Kal So-won will be playing the younger version of Hee-sun in this series.

Rowoon

Kim Seok-woo, who goes by the stage name Rowoon, is a South Korean singer, actor and model most recently seen in the 2021 Kdrama hits- JTBC’s She Would Never Know and Netflix’s The King’s Affection. Donning the role of Choi Joon-woong, Rowoon will be seen as a young job seeker and new contract employee of the crisis management team, Zumadung.

Lee Soo-hyuk

A South Korean model and actor, Lee Soo-hyuk is not only the exclusive face of the fashion brand Fahrenheit since 2021 but, has also starred in films like Pipeline and, series such as Born Again (2020), Doom at Your Service (2021) and more. He will play the character named Park Joong-gil, who is the strict and principled leader of the Indian management team that is responsible for guiding the dead in Zumadung. Lovers of the Red Sky actor Park Sang-hoon will be seen playing his younger version.

Yoon Ji-on

Yoon Ji-on has starred in many successful Kdramas starting from the 2020 webtoon adaptation Memorist to the 2021 tvN drama You Are My Spring. The actor is going to play the role of Lim Rung-gu, a deputy director of Zumadung. Actor Seo Yoon-hyuk will be playing the younger version of his character.

Kim Hae-sook

A South Korean actor who has been privy to the world of television since the 1970s, Kim Hae-sook is a veteran in this field. Last seen in popular Kdramas like The Hospital Playlist and Inspector Koo, the actor will be seen in the role of Jade Hwang- the chairman of the underworld monopoly.

The supporting cast members for the series include Kim Chae-eun as Kim Hye-won, Moon Do-yoon as Jeon Su-in, Kim Nu-ri as Jang Jae-hee, Kim Hae-sook as Jade Hwang, Jo In as Noh Eun-bi, Ryu Sung-rok as Namgoong Jae-su with a special appearance from Kang Seung-yoon.

The show is slated to premiere on MBC TV as well as Netflix on April 1, 2022, and will air every Friday and Saturday at 22:00 (KST). It will consist of 16 episodes, each with a runtime of 70 minutes.
