Siren Survive the Island became a steady hit on Netflix. The format of the show was clever with the release of five out of ten episodes, a week apart. It generated interest and excitement and, now with all the episodes out, the content even qualifies as a binge-worthy treat. How versatile right?

Siren Survive the Island is created by Lee Eun-Kyung and produced by Ko Min-gu. With Studio Modak being the quintessential production banner, this Netflix show has a cast featuring females from various professional segments such as police officers, firefighters, bodyguards, soldiers, athletes and stunt actors. There are a total of ten episodes in the show. The runtime for each episode is 50-60 minutes.

Based on their professions, the contestants were divided into six teams. They competed against each other in various challenges to protect themselves and their team and make sure they survive on the island. Of course, like all game shows, there is the risk of elimination and the advantage of gaining immunity and, some rewards that give you an edge over the other teams in the show.

However, as we moved through the show, we got to know some really interesting facts about the contestants involved. One very surprising fact that has popped up is the involvement of one of the contestants in the world of acting. Yes, there was no ‘actors’ team but, one of the members of the Security Team is a leading lady in the Korean film world.

Which Siren Survive the Island Contestant Is an Actor?

It is the team leader- Lee Su-Ryeon! Yes, you heard it right. The contestant had worked as a South Korean presidential bodyguard. The term year was from 2004 to 2013. However, she found a different calling later on and, ventured into the world of tv series and movies. Two of her movie credits include the 2018 release Love Again and the 2019 release Money.

Lee Su-Ryeon’s latest acting roles are in the tv shows: Work Later, Drink Now 2, The Golden Spoon, The Penthouse 2 and The Last Empress.
