Exclusive! Nawazuddin Siddiqui on Saying NO to Web Series: People Started Making Crime, Drugs Show for Sensation

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most versatile actors in the Indian film industry. Along with movies, the actor made people fall in love with his acting skill in the web series Sacred Games on Netflix. However, after SC, Siddiqui didn’t appear in any web series as such. The Heropanti 2 actor appeared in several Hindi web films like Ghoomketo, Raat Akeli HAi, Serious Men, etc.

A few months ago, the Gangs of Wasseypur actor said he would no longer do web shows. LeisureByte spoke to the actor and asked him what made him lose interest in the web series. We also asked about his desire to be a part of romantic love stories in movies.

When Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked why he is saying no to web shows, the actor answered, “I have done enough web shows. Frankly speaking, I am not in a mood. I am not mentally prepared. The quality of shows has gone down and quantity has increased. For fashion, people started making shows on gangster, crime, and drugs for sensation. It shows that they’re trying to create a fake sensation. Hence, I have lost interest in doing web shows.”

He further added, “I am doing web films. But I won’t do web shows, because of the qualities.”
